In part 1 we have already presented the birds that flew top prizes on the Chevrain race in the weekend of 17 June. In this article we will tell you something more about the semi-long distance race Blois (462km) and the national long distance race Brive (704km).

Last Saturday we finally had the type of weather we were counting on for many weeks: headwinds and high temperatures. Our birds showed that day that they are very hard to beat in these circumstances. We had three races: the middle distance race Melun (310km), the great middle distance race Blois (462km) and the long distance race Brive (704km).

This weekend we raced birds on two races: the middle distance race Chevrain (354km) and the national long distance race Limoges (672km). These races were both postponed till Sunday due to the bad weather circumstances on Saturday. On Sunday the temperature rose to about 20°C and there was moderate tailwind to side wind blowing.

Previous weekend was the last one before the start of the middle distance season. The birds flew on Sunday and that day the temperature rose to 20°C. There was a strong side wind from the south-east blowing. Our racing team did again a great job on this race!

Currently we are selling 9 youngsters from our best breeders on the famous website PIPA. We have selected these birds with great care, they are all beautiful pigeons!

We have made a fantastic incoming transfer! “Olympic Elektro”(0264-13-400), who is a grandson to our superbreeder “Elektro”(B08-6174630), will join our breeding loft! He is probably one of the best racers that crossed the European sky the last decades.

The Thailand One Loft Race is known - and slightly notorious - for its high difficulty level. The weather circumstances are very hard. Only the best and strongest bird can prevail! Our birds seem to be perfectly suited for this One Loft Race. We have had many successes in this One Loft Race over the last years. In general we can say that our pigeons perform very well in tough conditions. Also in this 2016 edition our birds performed excellently! Almost 1,500 pigeons were sent this year. For the final race (500km) 650 birds were remaining.

Today the KBDB has announced the official results for upcoming Olympiad 2017 in Brussels. Our top pigeon “Olympic Eva”(B14-6175226) is one of the three pigeons that will represent Belgium in the Category C Long Distance (+500km)!

Coming weekend it is time for the famous ‘Golden Ten’ auction, organised by sport magazine ‘De Duif’. After the successful auction of last year we will participate again with some special pigeons.

Our national racing season ended on 10 September with the national Chateauroux race but we are still amusing ourselves with some short distance races. We are only racing young males on these races and no hens. The reason is that we have bred more young cocks than hens this year so we are using these races to make a final selection for next racing season!

Today the national La Souterraine (593km) race was flown. We entered our racing hens and they flew an amazing result!

The racing schedule for the next two weekends has been changed by the national federation.

The national racing season is slowly approaching its final stage. Last weekend the national Argenton (555km) race was flown. Our birds were very dominant on the national level! The birds had to deal with headwinds the first 300km of the race. This made the racer tougher and gave our pigeons the chance to show their qualities.

Last weekend we entered our birds on the national Bourges (479km) race. It was the first national race for young birds.
