Our birds were in a top condition and we were hoping for some national top 100 positions on this Bourges race. Unfortunately the wind was strongly blowing from a western direction. The early arrivals could be found in the eastern part of Belgium. It was a very fast race – a lot of birds arriving at the same time - so the birds of our region had no chance to compensate for their bad location by making an extra effort. The pigeon fanciers who are living in provinces located more to the West (Oost-Vlaanderen and West-Vlaanderen), had even less chance. The velocities of our pigeons is much higher in comparison to pigeons of those provinces. This time we had no chance at all to win on the provincial or national level but next race could be different. That is the interesting thing about pigeon sport!
Anyway, in the club we had some very good results. And the least you can say about our club is that the competition is strong: Geerinckx, Dirk Van Dijck, André Roodhooft, Marcel Wouters, Eddy Janssens, Jos Joosen etc. They are all racing in our club St. Job.

The national zone results are not published yet but the national results are. We have 8/12 prizes with the old birds, 16/23 with the yearling and no less than 41/68 with the young birds!
Our first yearling was our super talented hen B15-6026002. This blue hen is a direct daughter to our superstar “Mustang”(B14-6175237). She has got a great pedigree. She is bred off winner 1° fast. National Chateauroux (526km) 33,018 pigeons x mother 1° fast. National Bourges (479km) 64,621 pigeons. Her mother is “Polina”(B08-6174628).
B15-6026002 has already proven her great class several times this year. She won for instance on two races in a row 1° fast. Noyon (208km) 810 pigeons and 1° fast. Noyon 448 pigeons! The birds had to deal twice with headwinds. She kept on performing throughout the whole season. She flies very constantly and is often to be found in the head of the race. She is always our first or second nominated pigeon!

Our second yearling was another top racer of our loft, “Zara”(B15-6026038). This year she already won 1° Bourges (479km) 377 pigeons / 18° National Bourges 19,889 pigeons! On another national race, Argenton (555km), she came 3 seconds short to win again the first prize in the club. On the national level she won the 47° against 12,449 pigeons! This bird is once again a grandchild to as well “Barco”(B01-6387350) and “Elektro”(B08-6174630). Her father is a son to “Elektro”, her mother is a daughter to “Barco”. Her parents have already bred some outstanding birds in the past.

Our first old bird was the checkered white flight cock B14-6175088. He is a direct son to our famous hen “Shakira”(B10-6052293). This means B14-6175088 is a grandson to “Elektro”(B08-6174630). He won in 2015 on the same Bourges race 15° National Bourges (479km) against 14,496 birds.
Our second old bird was the checkered hen B14-6175134. She is a daughter to “Mambo”(B08-6144041) x “Beauty”(B05-6234009).
Our first youngster was the blue hen B16-6032005. Her parents are both new on the breeding loft. Her father is bred from “Dodge”(B14-6175321) who is a full brother to “Mustang”(B14-6175237).
Our second youngster was the checkered cock B16-6032028. His father is a full brother to “Aladdin”(B09-6248081), 1° fast. National Bourges (479km) 64,621 pigeons. His mother is a daughter to “Beckham”(B01-6387174).
Our third youngsters was B16-6032090. This dark hen is a full sister to our top yearling “Zara”(B15-6026038)! Her father is a son to “Elektro”(B08-6174630). Her mother is a daughter to “Barco”(B01-6387350).
Our fourth youngster was the blue hen B16-6032082. She wins the 7° prize. She is a direct daughter to our superstar “Mustang”(B14-6175237). Her mother is “Vitara”(B10-6052150). B16-6032082 is the only baby of “Mustang” that we are racing this year. We had 6 babies for the races. Two of them crashed again the high tension wires. We then decided to move the youngest three babies of “Mustang” to the aviary and to keep them for the breeding loft. We see it as an investment for the future!
Our talented youngster B16-6032081 was as well in the head of the race. This year he already won 1° Noyon (208km) against 587 pigeons. The father of this beautiful cock is top bird “Origi”(B13-6026050). His mother is “Letra”(B12-6196107). “Letra” is the mother to superstar “Mustang”(B14-6175237), 1° fast. National Chateauroux (526km) 33,018 pigeons. Let’s hope B16-6032081 will be as good as his half-brother!

Who was our first nominated bird? It was the checkered hen B16-6032067. She wins the 16° prize and grabs the big money! It is surely not the first time that she can be found in the head of the race. This bird is a daughter to our breeding phenomenon “Elektro”(B08-6174630) x “Delphine”(B11-6282004). She is a full sister to “Samsung”(B15-6026082), 1° fast. Souppes (357km) 9,294 pigeons.
