We hadn't published our results of the last national race of the season 2017, Chateauroux (526km) yet. So here you can finally read the detailed story about our first arrivals.
Today it was time for the second Hotspot race in the South African Million Dollar Pigeon Race. The birds had to deal with strong headwinds. The racing distance was 162km.
This weekend we will be present again at the famous ‘Golden Ten’ auction of sports magazine ‘De Duif’. Twenty-one of the absolute top fanciers from Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, each presenting 8 (young) birds of their very best in a public auction. Interested fanciers from near and far have ample opportunity to handle and approve the pigeons, and to exchange thoughts with the sellers and eachother.

This weekend the last middle distance race of the season was flown. The weather circumstances were fantastic. The temperate rose to about 21°C. The birds had to deal with moderate to strong headwinds. It was the perfect race to see which youngsters are worth their spot in next year’s racing team!
The racing season is slowly approaching its end. There is no more time to waste. Especially the young birds need to be raced now so that they can show who is worth a spot in next year’s racing team. We entered our complete team of youngsters on two different races. On both races they really crushed the competition! The weather circumstances were rather calm, there were no crazy tailwinds like previous weeks.
We had a racing weekend full of top results! In this article we will tell you something more about our triumph on the semi-national Aurillac (712km) race.
When it started to rain above our lofts, we thought we could forget to win top results on the middle distance race Pont St. Maxence (250km) today. The rain however did not seem to bother our pigeons too much since they won a top result on this race!
Another race this weekend was the national Tulle (657km) race. Due to the tailwinds it became a fast race.
The velocities of the races this weekend were extremely fast! On Saturday the pigeon were blown to home because of the strong wind from the Southwest. We still managed to win some great results. More about these races you can find in other newsflashes. The tailwinds on Sunday were even stronger. The fastest birds of the Noyon (208km) race reached an average velocity of 2,200 m/min! This speed is equal to 132 km/h!
Today was the final weekend on the calendar for the national championships on the middle distance. It was the last chance for the possible ace-pigeons to win another top prize.
We had three races this weekend: the middle distance race Gien (410km), the national race Jarnac (697km) and the young birds race Noyon (208km).
We had a busy racing weekend with no less than three races scheduled: the national races Chateauroux (526km) and Limoges (672km), and the middle distance race Chevrainvilliers (354km). In France the birds had to deal with headwinds (blowing from the north). When they crossed the Belgian border the wind direction changed to northwest. The temperature was around 26°C. Our pigeons met again with the expectations!

Our top hen “Lilly”(B15-6026002) was the star of the day. On the national Argenton (555km) race of today she wins 1° Provincial Argenton (555km) 1,561 p. / 1° National z. Argenton / 3° National Argenton 13,621 p.
Last Saturday we finally had the type of weather we were counting on for many weeks: headwinds and high temperatures. Our birds showed that day that they are very hard to beat in these circumstances. We had three races: the middle distance race Melun (310km), the great middle distance race Blois (462km) and the long distance race Brive (704km).

This weekend we raced birds on two races: the middle distance race Chevrain (354km) and the national long distance race Limoges (672km). These races were both postponed till Sunday due to the bad weather circumstances on Saturday. On Sunday the temperature rose to about 20°C and there was moderate tailwind to side wind blowing.
Today the semi-national Vierzon (476km) race was flown. It was the final rehearsal for the national Bourges (479km) race of next week. It was again a fast race today!
Previous weekend was the last one before the start of the middle distance season. The birds flew on Sunday and that day the temperature rose to 20°C. There was a strong side wind from the south-east blowing. Our racing team did again a great job on this race!
Last Sunday we had the real start of our racing season. We entered our birds on the Noyon (208km) race. The maximum temperature was 12°C and the birds had to deal with side winds.
Last weekend our cocks stayed at home and our hens flew Quievrain (103km) as a training. Despite this lack of rhythm, our birds did a very good job! Our racing hens started with the 1°, 2° and 3° prize! Our racing cocks started with the 1° and 3° prize!
Currently we are selling 9 youngsters from our best breeders on the famous website PIPA. We have selected these birds with great care, they are all beautiful pigeons!

We have made a fantastic incoming transfer! “Olympic Elektro”(0264-13-400), who is a grandson to our superbreeder “Elektro”(B08-6174630), will join our breeding loft! He is probably one of the best racers that crossed the European sky the last decades.

The Thailand One Loft Race is known - and slightly notorious - for its high difficulty level. The weather circumstances are very hard. Only the best and strongest bird can prevail! Our birds seem to be perfectly suited for this One Loft Race. We have had many successes in this One Loft Race over the last years. In general we can say that our pigeons perform very well in tough conditions.
Also in this 2016 edition our birds performed excellently! Almost 1,500 pigeons were sent this year. For the final race (500km) 650 birds were remaining.
The combination from Vremde did great in 2016 as well, and the crowning achievement followed at the end of the year, as they are to represent their country in the upcoming Brussels Olympiad with Olympic Eva. She is one of three Belgian pigeons selected for category C long distance.
Currently we are selling 8 youngsters from our best breeders on the famous website PIPA. We dare to say that the quality of each of these youngsters is fantastic!
Today the KBDB has announced the official results for upcoming Olympiad 2017 in Brussels. Our top pigeon “Olympic Eva”(B14-6175226) is one of the three pigeons that will represent Belgium in the Category C Long Distance (+500km)!
