12° + 26° prize in final race (530km) Thailand One Loft Race against 1,031 basketted pigeons! 1° + 3° Belgian pigeon!
Currently we have a special auction running on PIPA.
This weekend we received a very important award. It is probably the most prestigious trophy you can win in the province of Antwerp. We were crowned as 1st Provincial Champion Fondclub Antwerpen on races from 450-750km with old birds, yearlings and youngsters.
This championship has got some tough criteria. You need to have two top flying first nominated birds, in the categories old birds, yearlings and youngsters. They need to perform from the start till the end of the racing season. You don’t need a big group of pigeons to won this championship, the quality of your racing team is the only thing that is essential! Your birds need consistency on a hard 700km race but as well on a fast 450km race. It is not easy at all.
This has been the fourth time in our career that we have won this important trophy and this is a big honor for our family.
The organization of Fondclub Antwerp has made this video on the occasion of our victory. Enjoy!
Last weekend we had the final race of the season. We entered our pigeons on the national Chateauroux (526km) flight. Our birds ended their amazing season in style with no less than 12 national top 90 positions! Too bad all our first arrivals came from the opposite direction, else the result could have been even more impressive!
We were not thinking about a top result today on the Blois (462km) race. The birds had to deal with upcoming tailwinds. As we race at the shortest distance of our club, we did not have the best location at all. Our birds showed however that they are very hard to beat this year. They crushed the competition. We won no less than the 8 (!) first prizes. We beat famous names like Geerinckx, Van Dyck, Roodhooft, Wouters, De Scheemaecker, Van Gastel etc.
Yesterday we wrote about our top result on the national Argenton (555km) race. The same day we had the middle distance race Melun (310km) and our results on this race might be even more impressive. We split our young birds team in two and sent them to two different federations. Twice they crushed the competition. We have such a strong young birds team, it is a real delight to have them on our racing loft. In Union Antwerpen they won the 11 (!) first prizes, in the ZAV Federation federation they won the 7 (!) first prizes. Please keep in mind that birds had to deal with headwinds from start till finish.
We had again a super racing day. The weather circumstances were tough with headwinds from start till finish. On the middle distance race Melun (310km) our team knocked down again all the competition. It was a super performance from our young birds.. The official results will be published tonight or tomorrow. More about this later. Also on the national Argenton (555km) race we had a top result. We had no less than 3 birds in the national top 13. What is also really remarkable is that 17 of our 23 entered old birds fly in the first 10% of the race! The two youngsters the fly in the national top 70 are both grandchildren again of our super breeder “Elektro”(B08-6174630).
It has become a weekly habit this season … our youngsters were again unbeatable! We entered a mix of youngsters who flew their very first middle distance race of the season and young birds who flew their third middle distance race this year. They did a wonderful job!
Today we had one of the best racing days in our career! Just take a look, the results speak for themselves.
We entered our young birds this weekend on the middle distance race Pont Ste-Maxence (250km). It was a mix of experienced and ‘fresh’ youngsters. Our youngsters have been super dominant this season. The weather circumstances were every time very tough. This time the birds had tailwinds on their way home so we were curious if they could maintain their dominance on a fast race. After all, we race at one of the shortest distances of our federation and this is not an advantage when the average speed is high. Our team’s performance was again amazing! We entered a big bunch but their result was really impressive.
We had another super racing day last weekend! The temperature rose to 34°C and the birds had to deal with very strong winds. In these circumstances it is very hard to beat our birds (speed of first birds was 1,187 m/min). They smashed again all the competition! Also the good nominated birds were all in front.

Our top bird “Iron Man”(B17-6025089) did it again this weekend. On the very hard and turbulent Chevrainvilliers (354km) race he was the 1° fastest bird in the ZAV Federation of 907 birds … with a lead of no less than 9 minutes!
The national Jarnac race was a real tough one. The birds had to stay in the basket for 3 days. On their way back home the birds need to handle the high temperatures and the headwinds. Keeping in mind that Jarnac has a racing distance of 697km for our loft, you know that is was going to be an extremely hard race. The first birds in the province of Antwerp flew more than 11 hours! Our birds did a great job on this race and “Stella”(B16-6032171) confirmed her role as ‘prima donna’ on the long distance races in Antwerp.
Our young birds team has been unstoppable so far this season. Week after week they dominate the races. This weekend we sent them to the provincial Chevrainvilliers (354km) race. It was an extremely hard race. The youngsters had to stay in the basket for two nights. The temperate rose to above 30°C and on top of that the birds had to deal with headwinds too. Only the strongest birds could prevail, it was really a tough race for youngsters. We had again a smashing result on this Chevrainvilliers race!
This racing season has been so far one of the toughest ones the Belgian birds had to deal with the last decades. The temperatures are high week after week and the birds have to deal mostly with head winds. Luckily our pigeons seem to love these circumstances. They dominate the races week after week.
Unbeatable. Our new golden boy did it again. “Iron Man”(B17-6025089) was this weekend the fastest bird of the whole release on the tough Melun (310km) race! The birds had to deal with high temperatures and headwinds. In these circumstances “Iron Man”(B17-6025089) is probably the best bird around. He won 1° fast. Melun (310km) against 10,781 pigeons.
On the Melun (310km) race we had a spectacular result last weekend. The birds had to deal with headwinds on their way back home. Our old birds won the 1°, 2° and 3° prize. Our youngsters won even the 1°, 2°, 3°, 4°, 5°, 6°, 7° and 8° prize!
Fire power. The national Brive (704km) race was a tough one. It was that kind of race where no lucky shots could be found in the head of the result. The birds needed to fly alone, fighting against the head winds. Our first arrival crossed the sky for 10 hours and 30 minutes. Our dark hen “Stella”(B16-6032172) graciously arrived at 17:14:29. She won 1° Provincial Brive 705 birds. She was the 1° fast. Provincial Brive against 1,166 birds too (old birds + yearlings). On the national zone result she can be found as 5° against 2,640 birds. On the national level she wins 57° National Brive (704km) 9,278 pigeons.
We had one of the best racing days of our career yesterday! The weather circumstances were hard and this kind of weather is perfect for our pigeons to make the difference.
The Ecouen (283km) promised to be an easy preparation race for the upcoming national Argenton (555km) race. It turned out to be a tough race for the pigeons. The pigeon flock was scattered right from the start. A loft of birds needed to fly home all alone. We started with the 1° prize in the yearlings result and the 2° prize in the old birds result!
The national race of the day was Chateauroux (526km). It was a very tough edition. The birds had to deal with foggy weather during a big part of their way back home. The temperature rose to almost 30°C and the birds had to cope with headwinds as well. It was a race for the real strong and smart birds.
The last few days we have received some interesting references from our Belgian colleagues. Please take a look below.
We had another successful racing weekend. Last Saturday no less than three races were flown. In France the weather was good and the birds had to deal mostly with headwinds. In Belgium however the weather circumstances were far from perfect (dark weather) and the wind turned towards the West (tailwind). Our birds confirmed again their excellent form.
We had another successful racing weekend! We will soon post more information about our first arrivals.
The weather circumstances were hard this weekend. The temperatures rose to 30°C and the birds had to deal with strong head winds. Our birds are known to deliver top performances in these conditions and last Saturday was another chapter to that story. After the three 2° prizes of last week, our birds were able to bring two 1° prizes and a 2° prize back home! We entered our cocks in the ZAV Federation and our hens in the Regio Mechelen federation. We sent a few hens to the national Bourges race too.
We had a great weekend. The weather circumstances were hard. Our birds showed that they are more than ready for the national racing season! As you can see we started 3 times (!) with the 2° prize.
This weekend we raced our birds on the middle distance race Melun (310km). We entered our racing hens (51 birds) in the ‘Regio Mechelen’ federation and our racing cocks (54 birds) in the ‘ZAV’ federation. The wind was blowing from the southeast. It was a smooth and rather fast race. Our birds did a good job again, they showed their condition is improving by the week. We expect them to be on their best when the national racing season starts in two weeks!
The weather circumstances were again very fast, like in the previous weeks. This is far from our favorite weather type, but tough weather is on its way. For coming weekend – the start of the middle distance races – headwinds are predicted!
We had the second official race of the season today. The birds were again sent to Noyon (208km). The weather was very hot. The high temperatures in combination with the scattered thunder showers made it a difficult race.
