The Noyon (208km) race for young birds took place on Monday. Normally they should have been flying on Sunday but they had to stay in the basket till Monday 12 am because on Sunday and Monday morning the weather conditions were too bad. Also Monday at noon it was still risky to release the birds. The combination of high temperatures, headwinds, two nights basket made it an extremely hard race for youngsters. In the evening a lot of birds were still missing, also at our own loft. Luckily many birds arrived today early in the morning so this race was after all no disaster at all.

Our young stallion B17-6025089 won the 1° prize against 669 birds in an impressive way. He had no less than 7 minutes lead on his own loftmates and 9 minutes lead on the first bird of the other participants! With this velocity he would have won the 1° prize as well in the famous ‘Tienverbond’ against almost 3,000 birds!

The second prize was won by the blue hen B17-6025048. The mother of this bird is the famous hen “Shakira”(B10-6052293). She is one of the best children of “Elektro”(B08-6174630). The father is “Loki”(B12-6196286). He is a full brother to “Origi”(B13-6026050) and the father to “Hulk”(B13-6026138).

Our fourth arrival was B17-6025035. The mother of this checkered cock is “Cobra”(B14-6175418). She is a full sister to “Mustang”(B14-6175237), 1° fast. National Chateauroux (526km) 33,018 pigeons. “Cobra” was an excellent One Loft Race bird herself. After the final race she returned back to our breeding loft. Another race this weekend was the national Jarnac (697km) race. Our first nominated bird B15-6026230 was again our first arrival. This blue hen is a grandchild to “Elektro”(B08-6174630) and “Barco”(B01-6387350). Her father is “Casino”(B11-6282003) and her mother is “Siri”(B06-6411619).
