Let us start with the Melun (310km) race. Our youngsters did again a very good job, especially when you realise that we were the only loft of the fore fly who managed to have early prizes in the federation. All the other early prizes were won by lofts located at the longest distances of the federation. This makes sense of course with upcoming tailwinds.

We had five birds in the top ten against 1,806 birds. One of them is a child to “Iron Man”(B17-6025089) and two of them are grandchildren to “Iron Man”(B17-6025089). After a brilliant racing career he seems to be easily passing his super genes to his descendants too!
Now it is time to switch to the national Tulle (657km) race. We were very unlucky with the weather. At the exact moment that the birds had to arrive, the middle part of Belgium had to deal with very heavy rain showers. It was impossible for our pigeons to arrive in such a rain storm. The eastern and western part of Belgium did not have this problem. Also the week before on the national Brive race the same thing happened. This is bad luck, but that is life! Our chances on a national top 50 position were reduced to zero by this weather but we were still able to make a very good result on the national zone level! Also in our strong club St. Job we had the seven fastest (!) pigeons.
