In this new series of articles we will present you some of our finest racers. In part one we will tell you something more about a checkered cock who is probably our most favourite bird for upcoming racing season. His name is “Lotus”(B12-6196084). In our opinion this bird is sheer class. He is first of all a very beautiful bird. People who have already handled him were all impressed. He is rather middle sized. He has got a very nice wing and super muscles. Secondly he is a very talented racer. In 2012 he convinced us of his great potential by winning several top prizes on the +500km races. Especially on the race from Tulle he showed that he can make the step to absolute top Belgian long distance racing. He won the 6° National Tulle (657km) against 6,972 pigeons. We will never forget the way he arrived from this 657km race. It was like a rocket that entered the loft. He was not tired at all, he looked like he just flew a short distance race. For us this is an important feature. We do not like pigeons that fly one early prize but are totally exhausted and do not recover quickly. Thirdly “Lotus” has got a great origin. You need top birds to breed top birds, it is simple like that.

La Souterraine (593km) 2,246 p. “Lotus”(B12-6196084) is a grandson to “Beckham”(B01-6387174). His father is “Jaguar”(B10-6346648). “Jaguar” is a late bred, born in September 2010. He was too young to couple in the first part of 2011, so he bred his first youngsters in 2012. In fact, the first youngster he bred was “Lotus”! “Jaguar” is a very nice pigeon and has got the body of a real athlete. It is easily to notice that he is the father to “Lotus”. “Jaguar” is a direct son to our top breeder “Beckham”(B01-6387174). The mother of “Lotus” is “White Spirit”(B08-6174629). She is the nest-sister to our super breeder “Elektro”(B08-617630). A remarkable thing about “White Spirit” is that she is a completely white pigeon!
Legendary "Beckham"(B01-6387174) is the grandfather to "Lotus"(B12-6196084) For the season 2013 “Lotus”(B12-6196084) will be raced on the flights between 600 and 800km. We are expecting more fireworks from him. He shall for sure be on the main pillars of our racing squad coming racing season!

In this seventh part of ‘Super Ace-birds’ the 1st Ace-pigeon Semi-long distance (450-600km) St. Job will be finally revealed. It is quite a performance to win this prestigious title. After all, for this championship the national races between 450 and 600km are considered. The pigeon that ends as first one in this raking must for sure be a good one, especially when you keep in mind the strong competition in our club St. Job! The birds who was crowned as 1st Ace-pigeon is the blue hen “Sophie”(B11-6282165).

And now her daughter “Sophie” was crowned as 1st Ace-pigeon semi-long distance (450-600km) St. Job 2013! The father of “Vitara” and “Gerti” is star breeder “Mambo”(B08-6144041). We had the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th and 10th Ace-pigeon Semi-long distance with the old birds. Number one and two still have to be presented. In this part the 2nd Ace-pigeon Semi-long distance (450-600km) St. Job will be revealed. It is the blue white flight hen “Lidi”(B11-6282218) who won this title.

In part 5 of ‘Super Ace-birds’ the 4th Ace-pigeon Semi-long distance (450-600km) St. Job will be presented. This Ace-pigeon is the checkered hen “Helga”(B10-6052082). “Helga” has already appeared many times in this news section. She has been during different seasons one of the leading ladies of our racing squad. “Helga” had a very considerable part in different conquered championships. After a racing career that lasted no less than four years – she was raced during the seasons 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 - we decided to move her to the breeding loft. After all, she has got a fantastic origin and has already proven to be a potential top breeding hen.

A Chinese fancier drove by car 2,000km to greet us. That means he had to spend all together 4,000km in his car just to see us. He brought some pictures with him as well to bring us the following good news. The past racing season he has won a very nice car. This carwinner is a 100% Vercammen pigeon and is bred from a grandchild to “Barco”(B01-6387350). He made the very long trip because he was really excited about these results!

Our combine St. Job is one of the most well-known and difficult pigeon clubs in Belgium. A lot of famous fanciers are member of this club: Dirk Van Dyck, Bart and Jurgen Geerinckx, André Roodhooft, Jos Joosen, Marcel Wouters, Eric Berckmoes, Jochems-Van Hasselt, Maegh-Schaerlaeckens, Jos Van Olmen, John and Jan Baeck, Linda and Michel Baertsoen,… After the racing season different rankings are published to determine which birds have been performing best. One of this rankings is the Ace-pigeon Semi-long distance. For this championship all the races between 450 and 600km are considered. The weekly sequence of these races makes it probably the hardest Ace-pigeon competition in St. Job. We had the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th and 10th Ace-pigeon Semi-long distance with the old birds. This means that no less than seven of the ten Ace-pigeons were raced at our lofts! We are proud of this result, certainly if you keep in mind the strong competition in our club. We will present you the seven Ace-pigeon in seven news flashes. We shall start by presenting the 10th Ace-pigeon in the ranking, the blue hen “Tiga”(B11-6282212). She is a very good racing hen. Especially on the hard 600km races she performs really well.
Top racing AND breeding hen "Tiga" “Tiga” won a.o.: 1° Poitiers (595km) 323 p. (1,051 mpm) 3° National z. Poitiers (595km) 2,499 p. 78° National Argenton (555km) 16,325 p. 48° National z. Gueret (590km) 589 p. (other race) 4° Noyon (208km) 332 p. The Poitiers race was certainly a race to remember. It was an almost 600km race, the temperature rose to above 30°C and there as a strong headwind coming from the East. That day “Tiga” proved that she is a very powerful bird. Her father is “Santos”(B08-6174626) who is a very good breeder and a half-brother to “Elektro”(B08-6174630). The mother of “Tiga” is “Siri”(B06-6411619), one of the best breeding children of “Barco”(B01-6387350).
"Tiga" is a daughter to our top breeding hen "Siri" However “Tiga” is still on the racing loft, she has already shown her breeding skills. “Tiga” is already mother to: 1° Brive (704km) 125 p. (1,053 mpm) 6° National z. Brive (704km) 2,036 p. 3° Blois (462km) 289 p. 35° S.-national Blois (462km) 3,426 p. 50° National z. Issoudun (504km) 3,340 p. With these breeding references it was tempting to move her to the breeding loft. Nevertheless we decided to keep her one more year on the racing loft. This does not mean that we won’t breed any babies from her. In the month of January she will be, like all the other racers, coupled to breed one pair of babies.

Best Bourges bird in Belgium |

The famous website Pipa keeps track of some special rankings. One of the most striking rankings in the list is the ‘best Bourges pigeon’. Every year there are two national races from Bourges, one in the beginning of the season and one at the end. They have analysed the results of 2012 and 2013 to determine which pigeons are the best. Bourges is a classic race. It is probably, together with the Barcelona race, the most famous and prestigious race in the world! A few years ago we won 1° + 2° fast. National Bourges (479km) again 64,621 pigeons! We will never forget the international attention this double victory had.
Our blue hen “Marine”(B11-6282189) was crowned as the best bird from Belgium on the national Bourges races (period 2012-2013)! During these two years four Bourges races took place and no bird did better than our pigeon “Marine”!

A few weeks ago Mr. Krzysztof Tadeusiak won the prestigious WG-Wschód One Loft Race (Poland). It was the checkered youngster PL-0413-13-16073 who won the final race (300km)! This victory resulted in a brand new car for Mr. Tadeusiak! It was certainly not a ‘lucky winner’ since the same birds won already a 2° prize and a 6° prize on the races before the final race!
The One Loft Race winner is once again a grandchild to "Barco"
Mr. Tadeusiak with his brand new car The winning bird is a grandson to our fantastic breeder “Barco”(B01-6387350). This is not the first grandchild of “Barco” who wins an One Loft Race. In 2011 the pigeon “Dolce Nera”(AU-11-24401) won the 1° prize in the famous World Ace Challenge (USA)! It was a grandchild to “Barco”(B01-6387350) as well. Another grandchild, “Spyker”(ARPU07-80829), won the 1° prize in the Mercedes Classic One Loft Race (USA). This means that no less than three different grandchildren of “Barco”(B01-6387350) have won an One Loft Race. This can be called quite unique! Don’t forget that a direct child to “Barco”(B01-6387350) won the 2° prize in the Nanjing One Loft Race (China) as well!
The mother to the One Loft Race winner is a direct daugther to "Barco" These breeding references prove the fact that the off springs of “Barco” can make the difference all over the world! The list of top performing children and grandchildren of “Barco” at our own lofts is endless but also on other lofts this list keeps on growing! For instance “Jonge Panter”(B09-6248211), 2° fast. The pictures of our three first Gueret birds have arrived. In this article you can find them! Below you can find once again an overview of our result on Gueret. Gueret (590km) This means that we had no less than 14 birds in the national top 75! We had 28 prize cards from 32 entered birds which is equal to a prize percentage of 87.5%! Of those 32 entered birds, 21 won a prize in the first 10%! The pigeon that won the 1° National Gueret is “La Perla”(B12-6196185). This dark checkered hen is a direct daughter to our top racing hen “La Bomba”(B10-6052045). The father to “La Perla” is a half-brother to “Viola”(B07-6221074).

Success on the one loft races |

We have entered some birds on one loft races this year. So far two final races have already taken place ... and with top results! Test We entered some birds on the Black Sea One Loft Race (Romania). They did it really well. The most remarkable pigeon of the whole race was without any doubt our pigeon B13-6026424. B13-6026424 won during the races a.o.: 1° prize 1° prize 3° prize 4° prize This pigeon won the 1° prize on the first Hotspot race! What is the origin of this bird? The father of this bird is closely related to our superstar “Aladdin”(B09-6248081), 1° fast. National Bourges (479km) 64,621 pigeons. The mother of this bird is a full sister to our top racer “Bentley”(B10-6052028). “Bentley” is bred from a son to “Beckham”(B01-6387174) x a full sister to “Mambo”(B08-6144041).
Another one loft race that has already taken place is the Belgian Master One Loft Race (Belgium). Our pigeon “Leone”(B13-6026356) won a.o.: 8° prize Final Race (460km) The father of this hen is bred from top racer “Bomek”(B10-6052046) and top breeding hen “Gloria”(B06-6270117). After our sensational result from the national Gueret race where we won 1° + 2° + 5° + 9° National, our pigeons were checked by the national anti-doping agency. We have received the result today. As we expected, no illegal products were discovered!

We entered only four youngsters (not the best) on Nevers. Our other youngsters were entered on Dourdan. They flew a very nice result. Also on this race they had the disadvantage of the wind (strong wind from the North-West). Our youngsters won the following prizes: Union Antwerpen ZAV West 552 youngsters: 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 21, 23, 24, 27, … Our first pigeon was B13-6026166. This blue hen is a daughter to top breeding hen “Siri”(B06-6411619). “Siri” is a daughter to “Barco”(B01-6387350). The father of B13-6026166 is a full brother to “Mambo”(B08-6144041) and father to “La Bomba”(B10-6052045) and “Bomek”(B10-6052046).

The national racing season is almost to its end. The penultimate race, Nevers (476km), took place this weekend. It was quite a hard race. The first pigeons flew hardly 1200 mpm! It became a super race for us. We started with the 1° + 2° Provincial against 463 old birds. It will be as well the 1° + 2° National zone! On the national level we start with the 3° + 4° National against 2,918 old birds. Our results were the following: Provincial 463 old birds: 1, 2, 6, 17, 20, 24, 25,… National zone 633 old birds: 1, 2, 7, 18, 23, 27, 28, 37, 49,… National 2,918 old birds: 3, 4, 17, 42, 50, 62, 64, 80,... This is a very remarkable result. Certainly if you keep in mind that the wind and the location of the place of release were not favorable for us, on the contrary! Our first bird was “Alina”(B11-6282258). She is a direct daughter to our super hen “Shakira”(B10-6052293) and therefore a granddaughter to our top couple “Elektro”(B08-6174630) x “Gloria”(B06-6270117). A few weeks ago we won the 1° Dourdan (366km) 1,974 pigeons in Union Antwerpen. This was a very good result but even more remarkable was that the 2° and 3° prize were also won by pigeons that have the Vercammen blood in their vains! The first prize winner was B13-6026219. He is a direct son to two top racers! His father is “Sagan”(B11-6282034). He is one of the best sons of our superbreeder “Salgo”(B07-6221050), who is a half-brother to “Mambo”(B08-6144041). We had two races this weekend. The middle distance race Dourdan (366km) and the national race Argenton (555km). The wind was blowing from the West to North-West and the power of this wind was quite strong. It is very logical that the people living in the West of the racing area had little chance to win top prizes. First of all we will talk about the race from Dourdan (366km). On this race we entered all our young cocks from our ‘younger’ team. We started with the 1° prize against 1,974 pigeons! It was a super performance of this winning bird because it had a disadvantage because of the wind. Just a reminder: we live in the fore fly of our federation. The wind circumstances were unfavorable for the people living in our region. All the first prizes have been won in the most eastern cities of the province. The national top prizes have been won in the area between Limburg and Brabant, which is even more eastern. In these circumstances we can be really satisfied about the performances of our pigeons. Our first pigeon was B13-6026232. It was our checkered cock “Lotus”(B12-6196084). He will win the 6° National Tulle (657km) against 6,974 yearlings. “Lotus” is one of our most talented yearlings and a very beautiful bird. This year he won for instance early prizes on Poitiers (595km) and La Souterraine (593km). These were two of the most difficult races of the season! His father is a son to “Beckham”(B01-6387174). Top breeder "Little Panter" In our strong club St. Job we won the first prize with the old bird as well. It was our first nominated bird who did the job. This pigeon was our super bird “Bentley”(B10-6052028). In the past he has already flown some super results on the races between 650km and 850km. Two years ago he won for instance the 2° prize from Tulle. It was a catastrophic race. Almost no birds returned on the first day. He arrived at 9.30 p.m. when it was almost dark! Also this year he arrived in the late evening. From Libourne (778km) he arrived at 10.38 p.m. By then it was completely dark! We expect some more fireworks from him next year. We had no less than four different races past weekend. There were the races from Dourdan (366km) and Noyon (208km), and the two national races Tulle (657km) and Chateauroux (526km) also took place. The Noyon race was released on Sunday, the other races on Saturday. The temperatures this weekend were between 25°C and 28°C. On Saturday there was a moderate to strong wind blowing from the West to South-West which means tailwind. On Sunday the weather was windless. First we will write about the race from Dourdan (366km). We entered a big team of youngsters. Normally a part of these birds would have been entered on the national race from Chateauroux. However, because of the hot weather predictions we decided to keep these birds on Dourdan. We were very happy about their results. Certainly when you realize that we live in the fore fly of our federation and that there was an upcoming tailwind! We had some super results from Dourdan (366km) and the national races Tulle (657km) and Chateauroux (526km) this weekend. On Chateauroux we entered for instance only two old birds and they will both win an national top 100 position! From Tulle we will start with the 6°, 19° and 23° National against 6,974 yearlings! MORE INFORMATION IS COMING SOON! First, we will give you an overview of our results on Bourges the week before (28th August 2013). The summer is currently at its peak here in Belgium. The last weeks the temperatures frequently rose to over 30°C. Last week the national Bourges (479km) race took place. Normally they should have been released on Saturday but because of the heavy thunderstorms the race was postponed till Sunday. On Thursday and Friday the weather was really hot. That is why we were very careful with our young birds team. We entered only 8 babies. For the hens it was their last race on the widowhood system. They will stay now one weekend at home so they can start building a nest. The hens will participate afterwards to the last five national races of the season. We are happy about the results. In the category ‘yearlings’ and ‘old birds’ we will start with national top 100 results. On the provincial level we have 10 prizes of 14 entered old birds, 23 prizes of 39 entered yearlings and 4 prizes of 8 entered young birds. The full national results are not known yet but we think we will have 12 prizes of 14 entered old birds, 28 prizes of 39 entered yearlings and 4 prizes of 8 entered young birds. Another race this weekend was Dourdan (366km). The combination of very hot temperatures together with quite some strong headwinds made it a very hard race. No bird flew more than 1,100 mpm. Our younsters flew a fantastic result. They won in Union Antwerpen-ZAV W. the five first prizes against 1,147 pigeons! We think this has never been done before, especially in these hard circumstances! The weather circumstances were very hard this weekend. The temperatures were very high, 33°C was no exception on the pigeons’ way back home, and there was a strong wind on the head. No wonder that this resulted in in speed averages below 1,100 mpm. We entered birds on three races: Dourdan (366km), Salbris (454km) and Souillac (733km). On the provincial race Salbris (454km) we started with the 1° prize in our strong club St. Job against 118 yearlings. This bird flew 10 minutes ahead against all the old birds, yearlings and youngsters. On the provincial level we started with the 2° Provincial against 769 yearlings! Our pigeons won the following results: Provincial 769 yearlings: 2,… 7/8 This first prize winner was B12-6196094. He has got a fantastic origin. He is a direct son to our top hen “Beauty”(B05-6234009). “Beauty” is a daughter to “Beckham”(B01-6387174) and won herself 2° fast. National Argenton (555km) 30,045 pigeons. It was again a weekend with difficult weather circumstances. The temperature rose to 26 °C and there was a breeze coming from the North-East so the birds had to deal with headwinds. There were three races: Noyon (208km), Brive (707km) and Orleans (408km). We entered our young birds on Noyon (208km). They did it again very well! Our youngsters flew so far 3x the Noyon race and the won 3x the first prize! Our pigeons won the following result in the federation BAB: Against 739 youngsters: 1, 4, 9, 10, 12, 15, 17, 29, 31,… 34/68 The pigeon that won the first prize is B13-6026019. She is a very talented bird because she won so far 4 prizes on 4 races with 1° Noyon against 739 pigeons and 4° Noyon against 500 pigeons. This blue white flight hen is a granddaughter to our basic pigeon “Barco”(B01-6387350). We expect a lot of her for the future!

The race from Brive (707km) was a really hard one. Our first bird flew over 11 hours! In our strong club St. Job we entered 8 yearlings and no less than 6 of them won a prize and we started with the first prize. Our first yearling won the 45° National against 6,831 pigeons. This is a very good achievement knowing that the birds needed to deal with headwinds and some lofts are 100km closer to the place of release! We entered 6 yearlings and 8 of them won a prize! We entered 4 old birds as well but their result could have been better. The bird that won the first prize is “Rocky”(B12-6196295). This blue white flight pigeon is a very talented bird. The weather circumstances were difficult past weekend. The temperatures were high and there was a breeze coming from the North-East, meaning wind on the head. White breeder "Sony" The second race this weekend was the national race from La Souterraine (593km). It was a hard race. Our first bird flew over nine hours. It was the seventh race in a row for our old birds. These are the racing distances they flew the last seven weeks: 479km – 528km – 595km – 310km – 590km – 555km – 593km. They flew every weekend and every time we had a top prize percentage. It is really remarkable how solid these birds are. On La Souterraine we entered 18 old birds and 13 of them won a prize card. We entered 28 yearlings and 18 pigeons won a prize. Our first bird was B12-6196084. He won the 5° prize. This checkered cock is one of our best yearlings. He is a grandson to “Beckham”(B01-6387174). His mother is the nest-sister to our top breeder “Elektro”(B08-6174630). Our second bird was the blue hen B12-6196304. She is a direct daughter to our top hen “Shakira”(B10-6052293). “Shakira” is a daughter of the couple “Elektro”(B08-6174630) x “Gloria”(B06-6270117). As a young bird this hen was only entered one the races of the ‘tour of Belgium’. This means that she only participated to races within the Belgian territory. The place of release could be in the eastern, southern or western part of Belgium. This kind of racing gave the youngsters a lot of experience, however the distance of each race was only about 120km.

The third race this weekend was Libourne (778km). It was the hardest race of the weekend. We were quite impressed by the performance of our first nominated bird, “Bentley”(B10-6052028). The birds were released at 6.50 am. He arrived at 10.38 pm. That means that he was ‘in the air’ during 15 hours and 48 minutes! “Bentley” is really a good bird. Our youngsters flew their second official race of the season. They did it really well on their first race so we were curious to see how they would race on their second race. They were entered on Noyon (208km) and did it again really well! Our pigeons won the following result in the federation BAB: Against 681 youngsters: 1, 2, 7, 14, 21, 22, 25, 27, 32, 33, 34, 39, 41,… 41/57
The bird that won the 1° prize is B13-6026026. This very nice checkered cock is a direct son to our superbreeding hen “Miss Universe”(B07-6221587). “Miss Unverse” is mother to different top racers, as well on our own loft as on one loft races worldwide. His father is new on the breeding loft and a half-brother to our topbreeder “Elektro”(B08-6174630).

The racing season in Belgium is coming to its peak. After all, there are weekly national 600km races for old birds and the national races for young birds are around the corner as well. It would be nice that our birds perform really well the coming races. The signs are good and we have high expectations for the rest of the season. We only hope that those crazy ‘gone with the wind races’ won’t occur anymore this year. The previous two weeks the birds had to deal with very strong tailwinds which made the races more of a lottery than a real race. We shall come back one more time to race of the 22nd of June, Gueret (590km). It was a very fast race. The first arrivals had a velocity of about 1,800 mpm! We want to highlight our first pigeon, the checkered hen “Helga”(B10-6052082). She is a really good bird. She flies well in all possible circumstances. Difficult or easy weather, it doesn’t seem to make a difference to her. She is a daughter to “Salgo”(B07-6221050) and “Miss Universe”(B07-6221587). A daughter of “Helga” is by the way one of our best yearlings!

Past weekend there were two races. The first one was the national race from Argenton (555km). The other one was the Noyon (208km) race for our young birds. This race will be discussed in the next newsflash.
On the Argenton race we entered 40 yearlings and 19 old birds. The birds were released on Sunday. This means that the birds stayed in the basket during three days. There were 38,791 pigeons (old birds + yearlings) in the race. We will probably have 5 national top 100 positions!

For our old birds it was more or less a ‘transition’ weekend. Our super Poitiers team from the week before got some rest after three very difficult national races in a row. They flew a training race this weekend. Extremely heavy winds from the West (tailwind) were predicted on Saturday. We anticipated on this prediction. We knew that all the early birds would be in the Eastern part of Belgium and there would be no chances in this region for a national top result. We entered our inexperienced yearlings for the first team on a national race. It was a good chance to build up some experience for the coming national races. We did not lose any of these birds on the races, so afterwards we can say it was a good idea! Next week the national race Gueret (590km) will take place. |

Past weekend there were three races: Dourdan (366km), Chateauroux (527km) and Limoges (675km). The weather was good. The wind was blowing from the North-West. This mean the eastern part of Belgium and Antwerp had an advantage. Nevertheless our pigeons managed to obtain some good results! The first race was the national race from Chateauroux (527km). Our pigeons won in the strong club St. Job the following results: Against 421 old birds: 7, 9, 14, 17, 24, 25, 28, 32, 40, 43,… 14/16 Against 520 yearlings: 2, 10, 13,… 17/26 This means 31 prizes of 42 entered birds! 9 of our 16 old birds flew a prize in the first 10%, which is a lot! On the national level we started with the 53° National against 19,691 pigeons. Our first pigeon was the yearling B12-6196250. She won the 53° National Chateauroux (526km) against 19,691 pigeons. This blue hen is a granddaughter to the superbreeders “Mambo”(B08-6144041) and “Beauty”(B05-6234009).

The whole month of May has known the same weather circumstances: cold temperatures, strong winds and rain. Past weekend the pigeons had to deal with strong headwinds and some rain. The summer still hasn’t arrived in Belgium. Cold temperatures, strong winds and rain … these are the current weather conditions in Belgium. It is difficult to plan the season. Past weekend we decided to enter the biggest part of our racing team on Noyon (208km). The pigeons had to deal with a lot of rain during the race. No wonder that a lot of pigeons arrived all wet. This weekend the first middle distance race of the year took place. It was one of the final ‘rehearsals’ before the big national races. The birds were released in Melun (310km). It was a strange race. The first birds flew 1,400 mpm, however a higher velocity was expected. Probably the birds had to deal with fog in the first part of the race. Our pigeons won the following result in Union Antwerpen ZAV W.: Against 2,096 yearlings: 7, 10, 12, 15, 27, 53, 59, 66, 95,… 36/68 Against 1,647 old birds: 45, 46, 58,… 16/30 Our first bird was B12-6196222. Past weekend the first official race of the season took place. The birds were released in Noyon (208km). Our hens were entered in the federation ‘BAB’. However the spring has already begun, the weather in Belgium has been really cold the past weeks. That is the reason why our racing team did not fly any training races so far. The weather predictions for the comings days and weeks seem promising, so there is a significant chance that our racing birds will fly their first 5km toss coming weekend! Every generation has its top breeders. The previous generation had “Barco”(B01-6387350) and “Beckham”(B01-6387174) as absolute stars. The decade before “Panter”(B86-6056506) and “Yasmine”(B90-6244831) were indispensable. One of the new ‘young gods’ is without any doubt “Mambo”(B08-6144041).
Superstar "Mambo" He has got first of all a fantastic origin. He is a.o. a full brother to “Porto”(B03-6287006), 4th National Ace-pigeon KBDB middle distance! A half-brother to him, “Tibo”(B04-6058030), won 1° fast. Toury (382km) 11,313 pigeons. The father of “Mambo”(B08-6144041) is super “Deco”(B01-6387351). It is also from this breeding line that Houben J.L.N. bred famous “Pinocchio”(B98-6210287), a 50% Vercammen bird. “Pinocchio” won 1° S.-national Argenton 9,864 p.
An eye shot of "Mambo" “Mambo” was himself a successful racer. Especially in difficult weather circumstances he was an amazing bird. “Mambo”(B08-6144041) won the following top records: 1° Argenton (555km) 419 p. 8° Issoudun (504km) 490 p. 18° Pithiviers (373km) 1,043 p. However he was only introduced on the breeding loft in 2011, his impact has already been quite immense. His best and probably most famous child is “Vitara”(B10-6052150). In hard circumstances "Vitara" was almost unbeatable. We don’t think that there is a better bird on races with an average speed of 1100-1200 mpm. This resulted this year in the prestigious title 1st Provincial Ace-pigeon KBDB Antwerp semi-long distance (450-600km).

| 1st Olympiad bird in the world is a 50% Vercammen pigeon |

At the end of January the Olympiad days will take place in Nitra, Slovakia. One of the big eye-catchers will be for sure the checkered hen PL-0264-09-8156.
She is the first Polish Olympiad bird in the category H and will be more than probably crowned as best bird of the world in this category. The criterion is that the birds need to fly in one year six top prizes on races above 300km. The hen beat all her competitors with the following series of results: 1° prize (343km) against 5,442 p. (20 May 2012) 3° prize (365km) against 4,993 p. (27 May 2012) 9° prize (365km) against 4,582 p. (10 June 2012) 3° prize (514km) against 2,977 p. (17 June 2012) 1° prize (365km) against 4,173 p. (24 June 2012) 2° prize (365km) against 1,730 p. (15 July 2012)
This made her 1st Olympiad Bird category H Nitra 2013!
Of course these results are sensational! Especially when you realize that she won these six results in less than two months! This wonder bird is a 50% Vercammen pigeon! Her father is B08-6144596. This cock is from our best breeding lines. On the father’s side she is related to our top birds “Mambo”(B08-6144041) and “Porto”(B03-6287006). On the mother’s this bird is an off spring product to our basic pigeon “Panter”(B86-6056506).
