Let us start with the Melun (310km) race. Our new golden boy did it again. “Iron Man”(B17-6025089) was this weekend the fastest bird of the whole release on the tough Melun (310km) race! The birds had to deal with high temperatures and headwinds. In these circumstances “Iron Man”(B17-6025089) is probably the best bird around. He won 1° fast. Provincial Melun (310km) against 10,781 pigeons. In our federation he had a lead of 6 minutes on his own loftmate. They win together 1° + 2° against 616 birds. Two weeks ago the same two cocks won 1° + 2° Melun against 710 birds!
Golden boy "Iron Man"(B17-6025089)
Every pigeon fancier has got his favorite racers. The favorite racer of Jos is without any doubt the checkered cock “Iron Man”(B17-6025089). As a young bird he did something very special. Because of the stormy weather on the first day the birds had to stay two nights in the basket for the Noyon (208km) race. They were released at noon while the temperature had already risen towards 30°C. They also had to deal with headwinds. In those extreme circumstances this cock won the 1° prize against 669 pigeons. On top of that he had a lead of 7 minutes on his own loftmates and a lead of 9 minutes on birds of other participants. This spectacular performance totally convinced Jos. After this victory “Iron Man”(B17-6025089) crashed against the high tension wires. He had no life threatening injury but of course his season was finished. Then the year 2018 came. Right from the first middle distance race he was our first nominated pigeon. When the birds have to deal with headwinds, he is very hard to beat. On 26 May he won 1° Chevrainvilliers (354km) against 654 birds. As you could have guessed, the birds had to deal with headwinds on this race. Two weeks ago he arrived together with his loftmate. They were 3 minutes before all the other old birds in the race. They won 1° and 2° Melun against 710 birds. And yes, “Iron Man”(B17-6025089) flew this top prize again when the circumstances were hard. This weekend he was the fastest bird of the whole release on the tough Melun race (10,781 birds).
The 2° prize was won by the checkered cock B17-6025202. He is the last child of our breeding star “Elektro”(B08-6174630) that will ever be raced. B17-6025202 is a middle sized cock with soft, silky feathers. His eyes are very similar to those of his famous dad. We are careful with this yearling cock. He participated to half of the races this season. We are very convinced of the great potential of this checkered cock. This weekend he won 2° Melun (310km) 616 pigeons (after a loftmate). Two weeks before he won 1° fast. Melun (310km) 1,149 pigeons.

Our third arrival in the category old birds was B17-6025361. He is one of our most talented birds. We carefully brought him towards the middle distance races. The first part of the season we kept him on the short distance races. He showed his class on these 100-200km races. Every week he arrived early from the race. Our fellow pigeon racers from the region knew this pigeon quickly, he stood out. He is a direct son to “Olympic Elektro”(PL0264-13-400), 1st Olympic Ace-pigeon Middle Distance Brussels 2017. He was crowned as best middle distance bird of the world! The mother of B17-6025361 is our top racing hen “Bambi”(B13-6026002). She is a full sister to “Aladdin”(B09-6248081), 1° fast. National Bourges (479km) 64,621 pigeons.

A remarkable fact is the following. Two weeks ago “Iron Man”(B17-6025089), B17-6025202 and B17-6025361 won 1°, 2° and 3° Melun (310km) against 710 pigeons. This weekend the same three pigeons win 1°, 2° and 7° Melun (310km) against 616 pigeons!
The first prize in the category young birds was won by the blue white flight hen B18-6020204. Her father, the blue cock B17-6025001 is a yearling racer. He is a full brother to “Joker”(B12-6196314). Her mother is a half-sister to “Hulk”(B13-6026138) and a granddaughter to “Elektro”(B08-6174630).

The 6°, 8° and 14° prize against 540 pigeons were won by children of “Elektro Junior”(B16-6032012), 5th National Ace-pigeon KBDB Middle Distance / 1st Provincial Ace-pigeon KBDB Middle Distance. Two weeks ago 1° fast. Melun (310km) 2,855 pigeons was won by a son of “Elektro Junior”(B16-6032012). One week later a daughter of “Elektro Junior”(B16-6032012) lost the 1° prize with only six seconds. She won 2° fast. Melun (310km) 1,100 pigeons. Every time the weather circumstances were hard. The year 2018 is the first one for “Elektro Junior”(B16-6032012) but he seems to be very talented for passing his super genes towards his children.

The final race last weekend was the Limoges (672km) flight. It was a very tough race. Our first arrival here was the blue cock B17-6025005. He is a full brother to “Dubai”(B15-6026019).
The races for next week will be the provincial races Chevrainvilliers (354km) and the national race Jarnac (697km).
