The past weeks the 2010 KBDB champions have been celebrated, on both national and provincial levels. We were crowned several times. Today the final race in the Thailand Grand Pigeon Race took place. You can check the website of this race by opening this link.
The loft has got an unique location The weather was hot, more than 37°C. The pigeons were released in Chainmai (560km). It promised therefore to be a very hard race, and so it was! The first pigeons flew almost 9,5 hours! In the beginning there were over 1,600 birds. On the final race only 43 birds arrived (same day)! We succeeded in winning the 8° prize on this final race! It was the first Belgian bird and the second foreign bird! The bird that won the 8° prize is “Miss Asia”(B10-6052421). She has also won different other top positions. “Miss Asia” won a.o.: The father of this bird, “Little Panter”(B08-6144332), is a direct son to “Beckham”(B01-6387174). He is a full brother to top hen “Maxima”(B08-6144100) and also a grandson to “Barco”(B01-6387350).
“Little Panter” is already father to “Lena”(B09-6248156). “Lena” won a.o.: The mother of “Miss Asia”, “Melody”(B09-6248063), is a full sister to our super star “Goldwing”(B09-6248271). If you take a good look at the pedigree of “Miss Asia”, you will notice that she is related to almost all our current topbreeders: “Barco”(B01-6387350), “Beckham”(B01-6387174), “Porto”(B03-6287006),...

We will start the third part of references 2010 in Belgium. Our good friends Leon and Chris Van Den Brandt won this year the 19° National Brive (714km) against 16,183 birds. This dark hen is bred off a direct daughter of superstar “Rolex”(B06-6270302)! “Rolex” is one of those supreme children from “Beckham”(B01-6387174). Later on the season they won also 2° National Limoges (647km) against 14,211 birds (1° National z. against 5,218 birds)! This hen is an off spring product of our golden breeder “Barco”(B01-6387350).
Chris and Leon Van Den Brandt The next reference is from Wilhelm Brocks, a German fancier. He has crossed the Vercammen birds with children of his basic pigeon “Mr. Cool”. The results are excellent! On the first important race of the season he proved immediately that he was one of the most feared lofts this year. His bird “Jim Beam”(DV02487-08-572) won 2° Altdorf (360km) against 7,507 birds (4° against 14,237 p.). This bird was bred off a child of "Bacardi"(B03-6484744) together with a full sister to "Porto"(B03-6287006). This full sister to "Porto" is mother to our top yearling “Milito”(B09-6248149).
“Milito” won this year a.o.: Another topracer at Brock’s place is “Akino”(DV02487-08-545). His father is a son to “Akin”(B04-6058079). “Akin” is the father to our top bird “Thunderbolt”(B08-6144141). The “Thunderbolt” line is a very successful one, especially on the harder and longer races. Just an example: The bird that won on the last race this year the 13° National Gueret (588km) against 13,885 pigeons is bred off the nest-brother of “Thunderbolt”!
Talented breeder and racer "Thunderbolt" The next topracer is “Dark Raver”(DV02487-08-540). The dark colour of this pigeons “betrays” the fact that he is related to our basic pigeon “Panter”(B86-6056506). He is also a grandson to “Iron Lady”(B97-6145223). Mr. Brocks described “Dark Raver” as a pigeon that “can fly in the top on every distance”.
"Dark Raver" is an off spring product of "Panter" More information about these birds you can see on their pictures. Another reference can be found in the Netherlands. The two friends Piet van de Woestijne and Henk Verwoert participated to the German Open One Loft Race. In the final race they won the second prize (only one second behind the first prize)! This bird is a 50% Vercammen pigeon. The father of this bird is a full brother to “Kleine Prins”(B07-6221063). Also one of the best young birds in South Africa this year is bred out of a full brother to “Kleine Prins”! The father of “Kleine Prins”, “Rios”(B06-6270353), is still young but he already bred different top birds at different lofts!

We will continue now with some of the references of the racing season 2010. The young Dutch fancier Martin De Poorter stunted this year on the NPO race La Souterraine (580km). He won 2° and 3° NPO against 3,388 birds! The first bird was a 50% Vercammen bird! The mother is bred off “Agassi”(B98-6350065) x “Gina”(B03-6287244). “Agassi” is a full brother to “Mitu”(B02-6058048). “Gina” is a full sister to our top bird “Porto”(B03-6287006)!
"Mitu" is a fantastic bird A lof of fanciers have top results with children from the “Mitu” family.Jos De Ridder from the Netherlands won for instance in 2008 1° National Blois against 66,762 pigeons. This bird won also 1° Morlincourt against 20,920 birds. This bird was bred out of a sister to "Mitu"(B02-6058048) and “Agassi”(B98-6350065)! The next reference is from a completely part in the world. David Wetering is an Australian fancier. The pigeon races over there are extremely difficult because of the hot weather and head winds. Below you can read the e-mail he sent to us: Hi Jos and Lars, This 50% Vercammen cock is related to “Iron Lady”(B97-6145223) and “Panter”(B86-6056506). In fact, the mother of 6411563 is a top breeding hen and a direct daughter to “Iron Lady”! The following reference is again from another continent. André Carelsen is one of the very best pigeon fanciers in South Africa. Last year he imported two Vercammen birds, a full brother to “Kleine Prins”(B07-6221063) and a full sister to “Athena”(B04-6058197). He decided to mate them. He had two youngsters from this couple for his 2010 racing team.

I just want to thank you for the pair of pigeons, as you can see the pair produced a very good youngster. Last weekend the exhibition in Kassel (Germany) took place. It is one of the largest pigeon exhibitions in the world. A lot of people approached us and said that they have fantastic results with Vercammen pigeons. It would lead u too far to mention them all. The two most striking references are the following ones. The 2nd and 3rd National Champion 2010 of Germany are E. Meier and Steinbrink/Livermore. They both owed their top position to the input of the Vercammen birds! These birds are all related to “Panter”(B86-6056506)!

The month October is the traditional start of different one loft races, all over the world. That goes for the famous Thailand Grand Pigeon Race too. Many big shots participate to this difficult one loft race. The first Hotspot race took place this week. A Hotspot race is one of the “important” races of an one loft race. In the beginning there were over 1,600 birds. For the first Hotspot race 1,123 birds were basketted. The pigeons were released in Pitchit (310km). We started with the 3° prize against 1,123 pigeons! The pigeon that won the 3° prize is B10-6052334. This bird is a direct child to our top hen “Vichy I”(B05-6234216). “Vichy I” is a product of the old Vercammen lines. “Vichy I” was a top racer herself. “Vichy I” won a.o.: 1° Provincial Vichy (566km) 1,828 p. 3° National Vichy (566km) 11,022 p. 57° National Bourges (479km) 12,898 p. 43° S.-national La Souterraine (593km) 5,621 p.
Children of "Vichy I" excel on one loft races It seems that the children of “Vichy I” are born for one loft races. You might remember “Power Puff”(B08-6144242), one of the best birds in the Sun City Million Dollar Pigeon Race 2008-2009 (South Africa). Well, “Power Puff” is also a direct child to “Vichy I”! The best results of “Power Puff” in South Africa: Also the other birds are doing it very well at the Thailand Grand Pigeon Race. A child of “Aruna”(B02-6058088), B10-6052369, won on the last two preliminary races: Two years ago Mr. Apichartpraclup won the Thailand Open One Loft Race. He won the Kings Cup. For a Thai pigeon fancier winning this cup is almost holy. The price money this bird won was no less than 1,000,000 Baht. The bird was sold for 1.200.000 Bath (1,000,000 Baht = +/- 25,000 Euro)! The bird was also descendant of “Aruna”(B02-6058088)!
Top breeder "Aruna" A full sister to “Bambina”(B10-6052002) is doing it great too, especially the last weeks. B10-6052355 won a.o.: “Bambina” won a.o.: B10-6052355 is a granddaughter to “Barco”(B01-6387350)! The bird B10-6052421 has also won different top positions. This bird won a.o.: The father of this bird, “Little Panter”(B08-6144332), is a direct son to “Beckham”(B01-6387174). He is a full brother to top hen “Maxima”(B08-6144100) and also a grandson to “Barco”(B01-6387350).

We had the 3 first Belgian birds, it were the only Belgian birds in the top 100! It were the following birds: B10-6052369, B10-6052355 and B10-6052366. It is now time to present you some top references of the racing season 2010. It is impossible to mention ALL the references. That is why we will restrict ourselves to a selection. First we will give you some more details about the Dutch combination Roegiest-Visser. They had a marvellous racing season this year. A lot of their top birds have Vercammen blood in their vains. They won for instance 1° Pithiviers (363km) against 6,701 birds. The winning bird is a real top pigeon and is a descendant of “Mister Tours”(NL01-0135527). You will probably remember “Mister Tours” as the bird that Ludo Claessens bought and later on became a superbreeder on his breeding loft. “Mister Tours” is a 50% Vercammen pigeon. He is an offspring product of our basic pigeon “Panter”(B86-6056506).
"New Panter" is super inbreed to "Panter" On another race, Orleans (395km), he won 3° against 6,432 pigeons. This bird was partly a Vercammen bird, the same for the bird that won the 1° prize (at Mookhoek). So the birds that won the 1° and 3° prize against 6,432 pigeons have got Vercammen blood in their vains! Later on the season his super pigeon “Blue Spirit” won 3° NPO Chateauroux (518km) against 2,884 pigeons! This bird has got very nice records. “Blue Spirit” won a.o.: This splendid blue cock is also partly a Vercammen bird! His next top pigeon is “Geschelpt 822”. This pigeon excels especially on the +500km races. She won this year for instance 2° NPO Ruffec (640km) against 2,560 pigeons. No wonder when the father of “Geschelpt 822” is a direct son to our wonder hen "Petra"(B95-6300210). “Petra” was that time coupled to the grandfather of “Barco”(B01-6387350)!

“Geschelpt 822” won a.o. (no double results): A next reference is from the German fancier Kai Schwanebeck. He already had an amazing 100% Vercammen bird. The cock DV09221-04-122 won at his place a.o. 1° prize against 8,626 pigeons. This bird is again an offspring of our basic pigeon “Panter”(B86-6056506). He is also related to our superstar “Aladdin”(B09-6248081), 1° fast. National Bourges (479km) 64,621 pigeons.

Past week the KBDB championships have been published. We have top results in different categories: 3rd National Champion KBDB Belgium middle distance young birds (300-450km) 4th National Champion KBDB Belgium yearlings 12th National Champion KBDB Belgium semi-long distance (450-650km)

1st General Champion (over all) KBDB Antwerp (Antwerp +/- 7.000 fanciers) 4th National Champion KBDB Belgium yearlings 12th National Champion KBDB Belgium semi-long distance (450-650km) 1st General Champion (over all) Union Antwerpen-ZAV young birds middle distance (300-450km) We are really very proud with these top results. This is again a proof that we have a super team of allround birds. Birds that can perform on 200km races but also on 800km races!
For the national championship with young birds we could count a.o. on our super youngsters “Bambina”(B10-6052002) and “La Bomba”(B10-6052045). “Bambina” is a grandchild to “Barco”(B01-6387350). “La Bomba” is a daughter to superbreeding hen “Sherryl”(B03-6287192). It was really close to win the national championship KBDB with the yearlings. The top 4 has got almost the same coefficient! We could rely on different yearlings! The credits are especially for “Paulo”(B09-6248171), “Goldwing”(B09-6248271), “Twiggy”(B09-6248038), “Marko”(B09-6248095), “Darya”(B09-6248092) and “Lena”(B09-6248156).
We do not need to present “Paulo”(B09-6248171). This blue cock is one of our most talented birds. Despite his young age, he already has got super records. He is a grandson to “Porto”(B03-6287006) and “Beauty”(B05-6234009). “Paulo” has got also different very good brothers/sisters! “Paulo” won a.o.: “Goldwing”(B09-6248271) is one of those other supreme birds. He is also a grandson to “Porto”(B03-6287006). “Goldwing” has got also two sisters, both from 2010, that are very promising birds. The one won for instance 2° fast. Blois (462km) 4,969 birds, only beaten by our own topper “Bambina”(B10-6052002). “Goldwing” won a.o.: The third yearling is “Twiggy”(B09-6248038). She is a granddaughter to “Barco”(B01-6387350) and “Beckham”(B01-6387174). This checkered hen has also flown very well so far. She excels especially on the more difficult races. “Twiggy” won a.o.: A full sister to “Twiggy”, “World Cup”, was one of most remarkable birds in last year’s Sun City Million Dollar Pigeon Race (South Africa). “World Cup” won a.o.: 2° against 3,182 p. The next yearling is “Marko”(B09-6248095). He is a direct son to superbreeder “Mitu”(B02-6058048). This checkered cock is a very reliable bird. He prefers the hard races, just like his father.
"Mitu" is a fantastic bird Then there is also “Darya”(B09-6248092). She is the prototype of a “strong” hen. Her best performances were on the 600km races. No wonder when “Callisto”(B06-6270275) is her father. “Callisto” is a very good breeder. Literally EVERY child of “Callisto” on the racing loft has won a top 100 position on national (z.) races. Really unbelievable.

Today the championships of KBDB Antwerp have been published. We were crowned as 1st General Champion (over all) KBDB Antwerp! It is a real honour to be crowned as “best” loft of the province Antwerp. Antwerp is being considered as one of the strongest (pigeon) regions in the world! Don’t forget that in Antwerp almost 7,000 fanciers are living! To win this prestigious championship you need to dispose of all round birds, birds that can win on 100km races but also on 800km races. Luckily we have this kind of birds. We will present you now in short some birds that were responsible for this triumph. For the middle distance we could count on our super young bird team. Below some toppers.

For the semi-long distance we had also an excellent team. Some of the best birds: More information about this hen you can read in of the earlier news items (14th September 2010). And also for the long distance we had a very fine team. The most famous is without any doubt “Viola”(B07-6221074). She won no less than 12 times in the top 100 on (s.-)national races. Really unbelievable! No wonder she is one of the candidates for the Olympiad 2011 Long distance! She is especially outstanding on the +500km races. She is a granddaughter to "Mitu"(B02-6058048) and “Beauty”(B05-6234009).

First of all, below you will find the official result from Gueret (588km). Fondclub St. Job 108 old birds: 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15,... Provincial 1,871 youngsters: 4, 11, 14, 39, 47, 51, 69, 73, 95,... 28/48 National 13,885 youngsters: 13, 60,112,... and 17 prizes in the first 10%! Many people mailed and phoned us the past days. They wanted to congratulate us with the fantastic result from Gueret. Especially our two super hens “Viola”(B07-6221074) and “Maxima”(B08-6144100) got a lot of attention. That is why we will now give a little more information about these hens. First “Viola”(B07-6221074). She has got really amazing records, especially on the +500km races. “Viola” won a.o. (all different races, no double results):
"Viola" is the leading lady on the long distance She won no less than 12 times in the top 100! Unbelievable. Are there any other pigeons in Belgium that won these number of top prizes on the national level? No wonder that she is one of the candidates for the Olympiad 2011 Long Distance. “Viola” is related to a lot of our other top birds. Her father is a direct son to “Mitu”(B02-6058048) x “Beauty”(B05-6234009). Her mother is a super racing hen. She is also the mother to “Vichy II”(B05-6234202.

The second top hen is “Maxima”(B08-6144100). She was also our first old bird from the national race Gueret. She has also won a lot of top prizes. “Maxima” won a.o.: 18° S.-national Vierzon (476km) 7,030 p. “Maxima” flies early on 100km races but also on 750km races. Super bird! She is one of the candidates for the Olympiad 2011 All Round.

Past weekend the weather was fantastic, a bright sky and headwinds. The type of weather on which the good birds excel. The first birds flew almost eight and a half hours! Gueret (590km) was the final long distance race from the season 2010. It was once again a fantastic result. The hours of arrival of the birds (they were released at 8:00): The following results were achieved. Fondclub St. Job 108 old birds: 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15,... Provincial 1,871 youngsters: 4, 11, 14, 39, 47, 51, 69, 73, 95,... and 28 prizes from 48 entered birds (17 birds in the first 10%!) National 14,412 youngsters: 11, 53,... (provisional) All our good nominated were in the head of the race. Of course they won also all the big money. Our first bird was B10-6052155. The father of this blue hen is the nest-brother to “Thunderbolt”(B08-6144141)! The mother of this bird is a granddaughter to “Mitu”(B02-6058048).
Talented breeder and racer "Thunderbolt" Our second bird was B10-6052111. She is a granddaughter to “Beckham”(B01-6387174), “Iron Lady”(B97-6145223) and “Luna”(B04-6058148). A full sister to this bird won the 2° prize on another race this weekend! Our third bird was B10-6052172. Last year our first and second bird from Gueret were a full brother and sister to B10-6052172! They won 33° and 46° national z. Gueret! The father of B10-6052172 is a grandson to “Barco”(B01-6387350). Her mother is a full sister to “Porto”(B03-6287006). Also our 4 first nominated youngsters were in the head of the race! Our first nominated bird was B10-6052240. She won on the previous national race 54° national La Souterraine (593km) against 17,017 birds. She has also been crowned as one of the ace-pigeons in Union Antwerpen on the long distance. Our second nominated bird was B10-6052213. Her mother is a full sister to young sensation “La Bomba”(B10-6052045). Our third nominated bird was B10-6052239. Her mother is top racing hen “Twiggy”(B09-6248038). Her father is a full brother to “Sevo”(B06-6270171). Our fourth nominated bird was B10-6052144. This black hen is 5 races in a row early! A remarkable thing: The parents of our first nominated birds are all birds of the racing team! Our first old bird was super hen “Maxima”(B08-6144100). She is a direct daughter to the top couple “Beckham”(B01-6387174) x “Siri”(B06-6411619). “Siri” is a daughter to “Barco”(B01-6387350). “Maxima” won a.o.: 2nd Provincial Ace-pigeon Fondclub Antwerpen (450-750km) 15° National Gueret (588km) 2,970 p.
Top couple "Beckham" x "Siri" Our second old bird was B08-6144113. She is also a hen with super records. She won a.o. (no double results mentioned): Again in the head of the race was our “golden” hen “Viola”(B07-6221074). This granddaughter to “Mitu”(B02-6058048) and “Beauty”(B05-6234009) has got breathtaking records. Let us take a closer look to it. “Viola” won a.o. (no double results, all different races!!): Are there any better birds on the long distance?

The weather was really difficult past weekend. It was weather for the “good” birds. We already told you that we are racing some “fresh” youngsters on the short distance during the month of September. They flew this weekend Quievrain (98km). Normally this is not the distance on which our birds are on their best. Nevertheless they did it wonderfully. This is again a proof that our birds are very all round. In the federation “Pallieterverbond” we had the following result. We have one problem with these youngsters. They don’t enter the loft quickly. If they would have entered faster, they would have won the 5 first prizes! Our first bird was B10-6052292. This bird is a full brother/sister to superstar “Paulo”(B09-6248171). “Paulo” won a.o.: Our second bird was B10-6052336. This beautiful bird is a direct child to the super couple “Beckham”(B01-6387174) x “Siri”(B06-6411619). “Siri” is a daughter to “Barco”(B01-6387350). The season is almost finished. One more long distance race to go (Gueret, 590km). Furthermore only some short distance races (100km) will take place in September. For the “good” youngsters the season is finished. The other youngsters still need to proof they are worth a spot in next year’s racing team. Also the bird that won 54° national La Souterraine (593km) against 17,017 birds last week will be entered. For the old hens Gueret will be also their last race of the season. They will have a nest with little youngsters who are between 2 and 8 days old. We have entered this weekend birds on a.o. Noyon (208km), Quievrain (98km) and Dourdan (366km). The pigeons that flew Noyon and Quievrain were mostly “fresh” youngsters. So far they have only flown a few short distance races. They will be entered for the September races. So every week +/- 100km. For the pigeons who flew Dourdan, the season is also finished. From Quievrain we started with the 8°, 11° and 13° prize. Our first and second bird were our second and third nominated! The first one was a full sister to “Paulo”(B09-6248171), the second one a full sister to “Goldwing”(B09-6248271)! So they are sisters to our very best racers! Our third bird was again a child to “Callisto”(B06-6270275).
Topracer "Goldwing" From Noyon we entered our birds in two different federations. We entered a few from the “super” young cocks. In the federation “Rupel en Scheldeverbond” we entered just 3 youngsters. We won against 574 youngsters 10° and 35°. It were our first and second nominated. They won all the money. Our first bird was B10-6052176. This checkered cock is one of our best youngsters. He wins 3 weeks in a row in the 10 first! And this against an average of more than 1,000 birds! He is a half-brother to our super bird “Viola”(B07-6221074).
"Mitu" is the grandfather to "Viola" and "176/10" The other youngsters were entered in the “BAB” federation. We started with the 1° prize. This bird was our first nominated! It was the blue cock B10-6052262. He is a very talented bird. All the prizes he won were in the first 10% and with several top positions! We had also the 7° and 8° prize. The first was a grandchild to “Luna”(B04-6058148). The second one was B10-6052211, also a very talented young bird. B10-6052211 was our second nominated. So first and second nominated won 1° and 8°. Of course they won all the money. These successes on the short distance race prove again that our birds are very all round. They can fly in the top from a difficult 700km race but also from a 100km race! We also entered 8 birds on Dourdan. In our region no middle distance races were organised. Only in the eastern part of Antwerp a middle distance race took place. We decided to enter them there. However we knew that with the predicted northwesterly wind we had no chance. Nevertheless we won 6 prizes from 8 entered birds. We started with the 32° prize against 535 youngsters. People said it was really a "stunt" because they thought we could win only 1 or 2 prizes in these circumstances. Our first nominated was again in the head of the race. It was the super youngster B10-6052091. It is now 4 weeks in a row that he grabs all the money. Also from the national race Bourges he was our first bird and won a lot of money! This weekend the races from Dourdan (366km) and La Souterraine (593km) took place. The weather was quite hot and there was a rather strong tailwind. As we already told you last week, we entered not our best youngsters on La Souterraine. Only the birds who did not yet earn their spot for next year were entered. Also for the last national of the year, Gueret (590km), we will do the same. But first Dourdan. Only young cocks were entered. Actually it are all birds that have already flown in the head of the race. We entered our birds in two different federations. In Union Antwerpen ZAV we entered 31 youngsters. Our first bird was B10-6052248. The week before he also won 12° Dourdan against 1,482 pigeons. He is a direct son to superbreeder “Beckham”(B01-6387174) and a grandson to “Barco”(B01-6387350).
Topbreeder "Beckham" Our second bird was B10-6052176. The week before he won also the 8° prize from Dourdan against 1,482 pigeons! The super "Jonge Panter" family Our first bird was also our first nominated. It was the black cock B10-6052091. It is really a top bird and won already a lot of money. He was for instance also our first bird from the national race Bourges (479km). He is a full brother to “Jonge Panter”(B09-6248211), 2° fast. national Bourges (479km) 64,621 pigeons. From the national race La Souterraine we start with the 55° national against 17,005 pigeons. Our first bird was B10-6052240. She is a direct daughter to top hen B09-6248184. She won different top prizes and became this year in our very strong club 2nd Ace-pigeon Semi-long distance! Her nest-sister won this year 54° national Limoges (640km) against 14,211 pigeons. B10-6052240 is bred from the old Vercammen lines. Our second bird was B10-6052193. He wins the 104° national against 17,005 pigeons. This cock is a special pigeon. Why? When we release him during the week, he stays outside the whole day. Also at the day of basketting for La Souterraine he did the same. We entered him as a “punishment”. He came home second. Also the week before he was early. His father is a son to “Beckham”(B01-6387174) and a full brother to “Maxima”(B08-6144100). His mother is a racing hen with some very nice records. She is a full sister to “Arena”(B08-6144137), 1st Belgian Ace-pigeon Europacup Allround 2010.

This weekend we participated to only one race, Dourdan (366km). The result was again very good. We entered only some young cocks. In Union Antwerpen ZAV we had the following result. By the way, we lost the first prize with only 12 seconds! Against 1,482 youngsters: 3, 6, 7, 8, 12, 21, 23, 27, 38, 50, 53, 55, 74, 75, 77,... 35/41 We entered also some birds in another federation, Regio Mechelen. So this weekend we have 48 prizes of 57 entered birds! Our first bird was B10-6052166. This blue cock won this year also 18° Dourdan (366km) against 2,545 pigeons! The second race was Argenton (555km). Normally, the birds should have been released on Saturday. However the weather was good, all the other races took place, the organisation decided not to release the birds. Very strange. The birds could not fly on Sunday because of the bad weather. Therefore the birds from Argenton were released on Monday. It became a hard race, especially for the young birds. Four days basket is a lot for youngsters. No wonder why at many lofts young birds were still missing on Monday evening. We had again very good results. In the strong long distance club St. Job we won following results. On the provincial level the result was also excellent. The organisation forgot to mention some of our birds in the provisional national result. On the national level we will probably start with following prizes. Our first yearling was “Goldwing”(B09-6248271). He is one of our top birds. He was entered as second nominated bird. This year he won a.o. 41° national Bourges (479km) 17,138 pigeons. As a youngter he was enterered three times, and three times in the head of the race! The young hens were entered for the national race from Argenton. Dourdan became a fast race. Our pigeons proved again that they are very “all round”. The following results were achieved from Dourdan. We entered birds in two different federations. In Union Antwerpen ZAV-West the result was as follows. We entered also some birds in another federation, Regio Mechelen. The bird that won the 1° against 1,430 p. in Regio Mechelen was B10-6052089. He was our second nominated bird. Normally he would have easily been the fastest provincial bird. He kept however flying around the loft during 3 (!) minutes because of a sparrowhawk. Now he is the 3rd fastest bird against 7,457 p. . The third race this weekend was Tulle (657km). On this national race we entered 15 yearlings and 15 old birds. The result was really amazing. They arrived as it was a 100km race. Three races took place this weekend: Tulle (657km), Dourdan (366km) and Noyon (208km). The birds for Tulle and Dourdan were released on Saturday. Those for Noyon on Sunday. The youngsters that flew the national race from Bourges (479km) last week, were now entered for Noyon (208km). You would expect that the result was going to be rather moderate. Why? This race is more than 250km shorter than Bourges and the birds need to stay only one day in the basket instead of two. Our youngsters flew however amazingly! The second race this weekend was Marne La Vallee (296km). We entered a new team of young birds. Before they flew only 1x 208km and a few times 98km. The result was (again) excellent. With a wind coming from the West-Northwest we had certainly not the best location for this race! The birds were entered in Union Antwerpen ZAV. In the “Dubbeling Jonge Westzone Union Antwerpen ZAV” we won following result. We have also the 1° + 2° + 3° fastest against 4,033 birds. Just a reminder. Last week we had 1° + 2° + 4° fastest Blois (462km) against 4,969 birds! However it was only the first middle distance race for this team, our first bird was also our first nominated bird! It was the blue cock B10-6052036 that won the 1°. He is a full brother to superstar “Aladdin”(B09-6248081). We have discovered an amazing breeding couple. Really every bird bred out of “Bolo”(B06-6270152) x “Polina”(B06-6174628) is a good one. Unbelievable. They fly in the top of the race in any kind of weather and any type of race.

This weekend the national race from Bourges (479km) took place. The weather in Belgium was good, not that hot as the weeks before. The wind was coming from the West-Northwest. Therefore the most early prizes were in the eastern part of Belgium. After the race, almost all the fanciers were complaining. The good nominated birds were too late. Different birds – especially youngsters – are still missing. Also we are still missing some youngsters. We hope they return quickly. People say the birds had to deal in the morning with fog. Probably this was the cause. Other races – short distance – were released a few hours later than Bourges because of the local fog. In our strong club St. Job we won following results. On the national level we will start with +/- 50° against 14,119 yearlings and +/- 100° against 30,759 young birds. A very good result, knowing that we had the disadvantage of the wind. We were only a bit disappointed that our good nominated birds were not all there. A "problem" where the most pigeon fanciers had to deal with. Our first young bird was B10-6052091. In this news flash we will present the first birds from Blois (462km) of last weekend. We entered 8 yearlings and 39 young birds. No old birds were entered. The result was excellent. On the interprovincial level we won following results: Against 2,462 youngsters we won: 1, 2, 30, 36, 37, 38,... We have the 1° and 2° fastest bird against 4,969 birds! The full result has not been published yet. So we cannot yet give you the prize percentages. The bird that won 1° prize is a real miracle bird. It is the hen “Bambina”(B10-6052002).

In the next one more information about Blois. We entered 12 hens on Souillac (733km). The birds were surprisingly not released on Saturday, but postponed till Sunday. In Union Antwerpen they won 4°, 7°, 9°, 11°, 15°, 18°, 22°, 26°, 39° and 9 prizes from 12 entered birds Our seven first nominated birds won a prize! Our first bird was “Sevo”(B06-6270171). This 4-year old hen has got excellent records!

July has begon with a real heatwave. Last week the temperature rose to above 36°C! We decided therefore not to enter our young birds on Orleans(408km). We did not want to “ruin” them for future races. We just entered four babies. Also our old birds were not entered on Orleans. On Limoges Yearlings (640km) we entered 19 birds, all hens. It supposed to be 24 birds, but we decided to leave our 5 best hens home. We did not want to lose them, given the special circumstances like the predicted thunderstorms. Looking back, we could have easily entered them. Limoges was no catastrophic race at all! We want to congratulate the Belgian organizer “Belgische Verstandhouding” for the perfect care. However they needed to stay in the basket during 4 days, they arrived in perfect condition. We start with the 25° and 50° national against 14,199 pigeons! We have 17 prizes from the 19 entered birds. We might have 7 birds in the top 200 national. Our first bird was “Elina”(B09-6248020). From the national race from Chateauroux (526km) some weeks ago she was also our first yearling. She is a full sister to “Paulo”(B09-6248171). Our first bird last week from Noyon was also bred from the same parents as “Paulo” and “Elina”! “Paulo” won a.o.:

In previous news item you could read more information about the race from Limoges of last weekend. Now we will inform you about the two other races, Noyon (208km) and Dourdan (366km). We entered our birds from Noyon (208km) in two different federations. The birds that flew Dourdan (366km) the week before were entered in the “Rupel en Scheldeverbond”. Another team of young birds, flew their first race of the season. Before, they flew only Quievrain (98km). They flew in the “BAB” federation. In the “Rupel en Scheldeverbond” fed we won against 1,001 youngsters: 5, 21, 23, 22,... 27/42 Our first bird was B10-6052011. This checkered cock is a grandson to “Porto”(B03-6287006) and “Beauty”(B05-6234009). This bird is also a full brother to one of our best yearlings, “Paulo”(B09-6248171). “Paulo” won a.o.: Our second bird was a daughter to “Paulo”(B09-6248171) himself! He was coupled to a grandson of “Panter”(B86-6056506).
The superior "Porto" line On Dourdan (366km) we entered just six youngsters. The birds flew on Saturday. There was a strong backwind. All our birds came from the opposite direction. Therefore the result was reasonable, not excellent. You have to know we live in the fore fly of the fed. We have 4 prizes from 6 entered birds. We won a lot the pooled money. In the meanwhile the final nationals results of Limoges have been published. We told you already that there is a special “derby” race, only for two year old birds.

Because of the thunderstorms no birds were relased. They flew Sunday. We entered 13 birds on Limoges (640km). The result was very good. Our first bird was “Carla”(B08-6144012). “Carla” is an excellent hen. Apparently Limoges and Bourges are her favourite races. This weekend two races were flown: Dourdan (366km) and Argenton (555km). The weather circumstances were really hard. Very hot weather – about 30°C - and wind on the head (east wind). First Dourdan (366km). We entered 47 young birds. The result was really amazing. Our birds were entered in the strong federation Union Antwerpen ZAV. We have the 1° and 2° fastest provincial bird against 5,688 young birds. What is even more remarkable? The bird that won the 1° prize is our first nominated bird, the bird that won the 2° prize is our second nominated bird! And also our third nominated was in the head of the race (8° prize). And now the most impressive part of all. You have to know that so far two middle distance race for young birds have been flown. The bird that now won the 2° fastest provincial bird against 5,688 young birds (beaten by a loftmate), was on the first middle distance race the 1° fastest provincial bird against 3,278 young birds! We have a real top bird here. It is the checkered hen “La Bomba”(B10-6052045). She is bred off “Simon”(B07-6221572) x “Sherryl”(B03-6287192). “Simon” is a full brother to “Porto”(B03-6287006) and “Mambo”(B08-6144041). “Sherryl” herself flew very well. The past weeks we received a lot of mail from fanciers who had great results with offspring of Vercammen birds. Because of a lack of time, we could not publish them. Therefore we will now present you a brief selection. The Dutch combination Roegiest-Visser had a fantastic result from Pithiviers (363km). They won 1° against 6,701 birds. He had only 8 birds in the race! The winning bird is a real top pigeon and is a descendant of “Mister Tours”(NL01-0135527). You will probably remember “Mister Tours” as the bird that Ludo Claessens bought and became a superbreeder on his breeding loft. “Mister Tours” is a 50% Vercammen pigeon! An offspring product of our basic pigeon “Panter”(B86-6056506).
"New Panter" is super inbreed to "Panter" Two weeks later Roegiest-Visser participated to Orleans (395km). He entered 15 birds and won against 6,432 birds: 3, 22,... Both birds are off springs of Vercammen birds. What is even more remarkable. The bird that won the 1° prize has also got some Vercammen blood (at Mookhoek)! So the birds that won the 1° and 3° prize against 6,432 pigeons have got Vercammen blood in their vains! Martin De Poorter (Sluis) stunted from the NPO race from La Souterraine (580km). He won 2° and 3° NPO against 3,388 birds! The first bird was a 50% Vercammen bird! The mother is bred off “Agassi”(B98-6350065) x “Gina”(B03-6287244). “Gina” is a full sister to “Porto”(B03-6287006)!
The superior "Porto" line The Belgian combination Gebroeders Appelmans (Oetingen) mailed us in the middle of May that they have a very promising yearling. This cock won from Dourdan (311km) two times in the top of the race. He won the 1° against 3,078 pigeons. One week later he won the 6° against 2,879 pigeons! This super promising bird is a descendant of the top hen "Petra"(B95-6300210) and related to last year’s superstar “Fancy Face”(B08-6144144)!
Again and again: off spring of "Petra" in the head of the race Regarding our own pigeons. There is not much to say about past weekend. Because of the predicted very bad weather we entered just a few pigeons. It was a good decision because the race from Dourdan was cancelled. "Aladdin" has got some very promising brothers and sisters We also entered some yearlings on Melun. Amongst these yearlings, there were four hens that are staying at the young birds loft. We started with the 2° prize against 1,003 birds. It was the black hen B09-6248223. Her full brother won last year the 83° national Bourges (479km) 37,357 p. . B09-6248223 was the 4° fastest provincial bird against 9,124 pigeons. Now the provincial result from Chateauroux (526km). In our strong club St. Job we won against 215 old birds: 4, 6, 10, 20,... Against 388 yearlings: 9, 12, 13, 20, 32, 36, 39,... Our first bird was B08-6144113. It is a hen that can fly easily in the top of the race. Our 2nd and 3rd bird were our 1st and 2nd nominated! It were “Mambo”(B08-6144041) and “Maxima”(B08-6144100. These are really very reliable birds, never too late!
Top racer "Mambo" Also an honourable mention for “Money Maker”(B09-6248050). He has been flying on a very constant level this year. The weather circumstances do not matter to him, he is a very all-round bird. In the meanwhile we received the full national result from Bourges (479km). Against 17,138 yearlings we won: 20, 41, 80, 84, 113, 122, 144, 147, 179, 193,... and 38 prizes from 51 entered birds. No less than 29 birds in the first 10%! |

Past weekend the results were again very satisfying. Mor information is coming soon. For the moment I am in the middle of my exams at the University of Antwerp. So now just an short overview of the results. The young birds flew their first race of the year. They were entered on Melun (310km). We won in Union Antwerpen ZAV WZ against 1,147 birds: 1, 7, 13, 16, 19, 22, 23, 29, 47, 48, 49, 59, 74, 85, 86, 93,... and 31 prizes from 46 entered birds. Now the provincial result from Chateauroux (526km). In our strong club St. Job we won against 215 old birds: 4, 6, 10, 20,... Our 2nd and 3rd bird were our 1st and 2nd nominated! It were "Mambo"(B08-6144041) and "Maxima"(B08-6144100). We will start with a top 100 position on the national level. Against 388 yearlings: 9, 12, 13, 20, 32, 36, 39,... In the meanwhile we received the full national result from Bourges (479km). Against 17,138 yearlings we won: 20, 41, 80, 84, 113, 122, 144, 147, 179, 193,... and 38 prizes from 51 entered birds. No less than 29 birds in the first 10%! |

Only a few birds were raced “for real” this weekend. It were the birds that did not participate to the national race the week before. Our cocks stayed home. Our hens flew Dourdan as a training race. They won 14 prizes from 20 entered birds. The other hens were entered on Chateauroux (526km). They needed to fly in real hard circumstances. The weather was extremely hot (above 30°C) and there was a slight wind on the head. The result was very good. We started with the 2° provincial against 3,147 birds! Nevertheless it were rather inexperienced birds that were entered for this race. The full result is as follows. Against 3,147 yearlings we won: 2, 49, 86, 119, 155,.. and 8 prizes from 13 entered birds! Our first bird was “Lena”(B09-6248156). As a youngster she was only raced three times. One of these prizes was a 3° prize against 766 birds. The father of “Lena” is a direct son to superbreeder “Beckham”(B01-6387174) and a grandson to “Barco”(B01-6387350)! “Beckham” is father to top birds like “Rolex”(B06-6270302), “Beauty”(B05-6234009), “Maxima”(B08-6144100), etc. .
"Beckham" is really a fantastic bird “Lena” was our second nominated bird. This underlines the fact that we have high expectations of her. Our second bird was B09-6248180. This dark hen is a child of another superbreeder, namely “Outlook”(B04-6058199). “Outlook” is father to the super twins “Sevo”(B06-6270171) and “Miss Salbris”(B06-6270170). The grandmother of B09-6248180 is “Iron Lady”(B97-6145223).

Well, she is a granddaughter to “Outlook”(B04-6058199), the father of above mentioned pigeon. From Dourdan last week B09-6248266 was our first bird. This week we received two e-mails of people who raced well with offspring of Vercammen birds. Our good friends Leon and Chris Van Den Brandt (Zandhoven) won the 19° National Brive(714km) against 16,183 birds. This dark hen is bred off a direct daughter of superstar “Rolex”(B06-6270302)! On the first important race of the season he proof immediately that he is one of the to be beaten lofts this year. On Altdorf(360km) he won the 2° prize against 7,507 birds (4° against 14,237 p.). This bird was bred off a child of "Bacardi"(B03-6484744) together with a full sister to "Porto"(B03-6287006). This full sister to "Porto" is mother to our top yearling “Marko”(B09-6248095)!
In the meanwhile the national result of Bourges(479km) has been published. Against 17,138 birds we won: 20, 41, 80, 84, 113, 122, 145, 147, 179, 193,... We have no less than 10 pigeons in the top 200 national!. Nobody did better! |

This weekend the national races Brive(707km) and Chateauroux(526km) were flown. There was a very strong tailwind (wind from the South). The fastest birds flew faster than 1,750 mpm! With all do respect for the winners, but this kind of weather is not the one we prefer. All our birds came from the North. Normally they should be coming from the South-West. Too bad the races were in these circumstances. The result from Brive(707km) was satisfying. We grabbed the money, partly because the good nominated birds of the other pooling fanciers were not there. Our first and second nominated do were there. Our first bird was “Viola”(B07-6221074). She is really a very good bird. So far “Viola” won (no double results mentioned):
10° S.-national Issoudun(504km) 5,815 p. “Viola” is a super hen for the long distance races! She is a granddaughter to superbreeders “Mitu”(B02-6058048) and “Beauty”(B05-6234009). She is also a half-sister to “Vichy II”(B05-6234202).

Provincial Ace "Hanna" Regarding the national race from Chateauroux(526km). To cut a long story short, the result was not good. We were not happy at all about the result. Because of the strong southern wind, all the early birds were in East- and West-Flanders. Our best birds came much too late (from the opposite direction). One cold consolation: the most of our colleagues who also dominated the races last weeks, were even disappointed. Coming weekend our cocks will not participate to the races. The week after there will be a new national race for them. We might start this weekend with the races for young birds. |

Today the first national race of the season was flown. The national race from Bourges(479km) was an incredible start of the "real" racing season for us. 39,577 birds were liberated at 8 a.m. . The weather was hard, wind on the head. The first birds flew hardly 1,150 mpm. He is a very beautiful bird, a real athlete! This year he has been flying very well and now he excels with this top result. His father was ranked as ace-pigeon Union Antwerpen. His mother is a full sister to “Porto”(B03-6287006), “Mambo”(B08-6144041) and “Apollo”(B08-6144262).
A lot of the early birds are related to "Porto" Our second bird was “Goldwing”(B09-6248271). He is really one of our “crown jewels”. Last week he also won the 6° Dourdan(366km) against 1,747 birds, after two loftmates. This was only the first national race for “Goldwing”. We expect a lot from him in the future! He is a grandson to “Porto”(B03-6287006) and also related to superstar “Aladdin”(B09-6248081)! “Aladdin” won 1° fastest national Bourges(479km) 64,621 p. . Our third bird was B09-6248146. His nest-brother “Tornado”(B09-6248143) was last week our first bird from Dourdan (3° against 2,356 birds). You might wonder: “How can this be nest-brothers since the ringnumbers are not consecutive?”. Well, B09-6248146 was ringed a day later than “Tornado”. The father of these twins is “Thunderbolt”(B08-6144141). We will probably remove “Thunderbolt” from the racing team and transfer him to the breeding loft.

We bred in 2009 three children from the parents of “Aladdin” for the races, all three talented birds! Also the nest-sister of B09-6248277 was early.

Two races were flown past weekend: Dourdan(366km) and Vierzon(476km). It were the last races before the big race from Bourges next week. Our cocks were entered for Dourdan. Our hens (and a few cocks) flew Vierzon. The weather circumstances were quite more difficult than those of the weeks before. The headwind was coming from the North to the Northwest. We entered 29 yearlings and 5 old birds for Dourdan(366km). In Union Antwerpen-ZAV 1,602 old pigeons were entered. Our first and second nominated won the 21° and 55° prize. All 5 birds won a prize, so we had a 100% prize percentage! Just for the record, we received a lot of feedback about the news items of the past weeks. For the curious people amongst us, in the clubs of ZAV (South Antwerp Union) 1,198 birds were entered. Our birds were there the 1° fastest, 2° fastest, 3° fastest, 14° fastest, 15° fastest, 20° fastest,.... From the 621 entered old birds our two first nominated birds were the 6° and 17° fastest. As well with the old birds as with the yearlings we won a lot of money. Of course, these results are semi-official. People who are not that familiar with the English language, should look this word up in the dictionary. Our first bird was “Tornado”(B09-6248143). This blue cock is a direct son to superstar “Thunderbolt”(B08-6144141). In 2009 we bred two children from him for the races. They are both very promising birds. We are thinking to stop racing “Thunderbolt” and transfer him to the breeding loft. The mother of “Tornado” is a daughter to the 2° National Montauban. “Tornado” is also a tame bird. He is the only pigeon in our loft that comes sitting on your shoulder when you enter the loft.

He was also in the head of the race. “Apollo” and “Mambo” are brothers to national ace “Porto”(B03-6287006).
"Mambo" and his brother "Apollo" keep on dominating The other race this weekend was Vierzon(476km). Two organisations organised this race, so could make a choice. We chose to enter our birds in FVOV. The most birds are from fanciers located in Oost-Vlaanderen, however a considerable number of fanciers of Antwerpen en Brabant also entered birds. The result was that a massive number of birds were released: 7,030 old birds and 3,614 yearlings. The most important reason why we entered birds in FVOV is the following. It seemed to us a very good preparation for the national race of Bourges next week. Our birds need to fly alone during a long time, when released with FVOV. Only the top 50 has been published, so we cannot give you the full summary. We will update this page when we have more news. Probably we will have 10 birds in the top 100 and a very high prize percentage. But later more. Our first bird was “Maxima”(B08-6144100). This super hen was our first nominated and won the 18° against 7,030 birds! She is really a very good all-round bird. 18° Vierzon(476km) 7,030 p.

Yesterday the second middle distance race of the season took place. The pigeons were released in Dourdan(366km). It was the final race before the start of the semi-long distance races. The weather was not that good. There was no sun whole day long. In the Netherlands there were even some real catastrophic races. In France there was a wind on the head, in Belgium a tailwind. Therefore the fore fly had disadvantage. You have to keep in mind that in our federation we are racing at one of the shortest distances! Nevertheless, the result was good! In our strong club St. Job more than 900 old birds were entered. We had the 1° fastest bird. Over 1,250 yearlings were entered and we had the 2° and 5° fastest bird. Our first bird was “Apollo”(B08-6144262). He won in the federation Union Antwerpen-ZAV the 3° prize against 2,186 pigeons! Also last week he flew very well. What is even more eye-catching, he is a full brother to superstars “Mambo”(B08-6144041) and “Porto”(B03-6287006)! “Apollo” and his brother “Mambo” will be for sure the big shots the comings weeks and months.

A lot of the early birds are related to "Porto" We entered 28 old birds, 18 of them won a prize. We entered 62 yearlings, 38 of them won a prize. Something remarkable. With the yearlings, all our 12 (!) first nominated birds won a prize. Our three first nominated old birds, including "Mambo", were all three early. Therefore our yearlings and old birds brought a lot of money back home. Despite the bad weather, it was a very good race for us. Next week our hens and some cocks will be entered for Vierzon(476km). |

We live in the fore-fly so we had no advantage, on the contrary! The semi-long distance races are almost there, so the condition of the birds should be rising now, and so it was. Just like last week, he was our first one. Probably he will grab all the money, being first nominated. His full brother, B08-6144262, was our second old bird!

Past weekend the last preliminary race before the real start of the racing season took place. The pigeons were liberated in Noyon(208km). The result was not so good as the weekend before. Actually it was a strange race. Multiple top fanciers did not succeed in equalling their result of the week before. But there is no time to look back. The important races are coming closer and closer. Because of a lack of time, we will focus only on our first arrived bird. Our first bird was “Mambo”(B08-6144041). He won the 8° prize against 615 birds. “Mambo” is one of the big stars of our current racing team. You might remember his stunt on the national race from Argenton(555km). He won the 1° against 419 pigeons and the 14° national against 21,092 pigeons! And this in difficult weather circumstances.

The “real” start of the racing season is almost there. In two weeks the middle distance races will start. Past weekend the pigeons flew Noyon(208km). For the hens it was their second short distance race of the year, for the cocks their first. The weather was beautiful. Almost no wind, a bright sky and a temperature of 18°C. The pigeons are not yet in top condition. However, their result was pretty good. Our first bird was B09-6248158. This blue hen is a granddaughter to superbreeder “Beckham”(B01-6387174). Her other grandfather won 1° national zone Bourges.
Top breeder "Beckham" Our second bird was B09-6248214. This cock is one of the big favorites for this season. From Gueret(590km) last year he won 46 National z. against 5,034 pigeons. His father is “Jacko”(B07-6221028). “Jacko” was himself the 2° fastest from Pithiviers(373km) in Union Antwerpen against 1,254 pigeons(beaten by loftmate). He is now one of the most promising breeders at our loft. “Jacko” is a grandson to “Barco”(B01-6387350). The mother of B09-6248214 is “Pucca”(B08-6144040). She was herself a good racer and is a full sister to “Porto”(B03-6287006) and “Mambo”(B08-6144041).

He was raced just three times as a youngster and managed to fly three times in the top of the race! He is a grandson to “Porto”(B03-6287006) and “Chalala”(B05-6234500). We are very happy with this result. Early prizes and a high prize percentage. And you have to keep in mind that the birds are not yet in a super condition! |

Past weekend the first preliminary race of the season was flown. The pigeon flew Quievrain(98km). Despite the fact that our pigeons are not 100% ready yet for the new season, they did it quite well. Especially “Maxima”(B08-6144100). We entered her as first nominated bird, and she won the 3° prize. Too bad she entered the loft very badly, otherwise she might have won the 1° prize.
Top breeder "Beckham" “Maxima” is a very good hen. She is that sort of bird that every fancier would like on their loft. She is always there: Cold or hot weather, short or long distance, tail wind or wind on the head, it does not make any difference for her. The best results of “Maxima”: As you can see, “Maxima” is a real “all-round” bird.

Today we will present you two new top references. The first one is an American reference. Elton Dinga is a young American fancier. He is one of the very best American fanciers on the one loft races. Mainly with Vercammen birds!
The World Ace Challenge is probably the most famous and most difficult one loft race in the USA. It is not a regular one loft race. The winner is not the bird who arrives as the first one in the final race. The winner is simply the most consistent bird during all the 6 races. The distances are the following: 240km, 320km, 400km, 560km and 640km. Mr. Dinga had a real super bird over there! This bird became: 1st Ace-pigeon C race World Ace Challenge

It was the blue cock AU-09-AA-14895 who did the job. He is a 50% Vercammen bird!
The descendants of "Mitu" are on their best in difficult weather circumstances
The father is a 100% Vercammen pigeon. His father is a full brother to top hen "Petra"(B95-6300210). His mother is a full sister to super bird “Mitu”(B02-6058048). He is closely related to our superstar “Aladdin”(B09-6248081), 1° fastest national Bourges (479km) 64,621 pigeons!

Last weekend the celebration of the Europacup winners took place. Our own top hen “Arena”(B08-6144137) was crowned as 1st Belgian Ace-pigeon Europacup Allround 2010! Normally we should have also won the 2nd Belgian Ace-pigeon Allround. But the organization took the (illegal?) decision to withdraw “Fancy Face”(B08-6144144) from the competition. “Fancy Face” became the victim of a hawk. So it was impossible for us to send her to the exhibition in Dortmund.
"Arena" was crowned as the best allround pigeon of Belgium We are very proud to be the owners of the best allround pigeon of Belgium last season! “Arena” can fly early from 200km races and from 650km races, it doesn’t make any difference to her!
"Arena" at the exhibition in Dortmund The father of “Arena” is “Iron Sven”(B05-6234069). He was only raced as a youngster, and flew also early. He is a direct son to famous “Iron Lady”(B97-6145223). “Iron Lady” was really a super bird. She won 5 times 1° prize and 10 times 2° prize. She became 1st national Ace-pigeon BDS. She won also 9° National Bourges(479km) 9,091 p. and 27° National Bourges 10,520 p. .
"Iron Sven" is the father of "Arena" The mother of “Arena” is “Etimmeke”(B03-6287463). She was a summer youngster, never raced. She is a daughter to one of the basic breeders, “Etim”(B91-6425011). “Etim” won the 11° National Bourges against 51,950 p. . “Arena” also became 2nd Provincial Ace-pigeon Fondclub Antwerpen in 2009 on races from 450km till 650km! Here below you will find a short summary of the most important achievements of 2009. The Sun City Million Dollar Pigeon Race in South Africa is coming to its climax. In less than 2 weeks the final race will take place. We have 2 pigeons in the race that are currently showing their great deal of potential. Those 2 pigeons are “World Cup”(B09-6248340) and “Billabong”(B09-6248317). “World Cup” is a bird that can easily fly in the top. The best results of “World Cup”: 2° against 3,182 p. 3° against 3,752 p. 13° against 3,188 p. The father of “World Cup” is a direct son to “Barco”(B01-6387350).The mother to “World Cup” is a direct daughter to “Beckham”(B01-6387174). So this bird has got 2 fantastic blood lines in its veins!

Every two years the “Olympiad for racing pigeons” takes place. They years in between the “Europacup” is organized. It is actually based on the same principle as the “Olympiad”. Also the Netherlands, Germany,… participate. Only the very best pigeons can be selected for this prestigious championship. The winners will be celebrated in Dortmund(Germany), beginning of next year. Two days ago we received a letter from the KBDB with the result. And it was amazing. We have the 1st + 2nd Belgian Ace-pigeon Europacup Allround!!! This is the most difficult title to win.
