The winner of the prestigious national McArthur Leyte Race (650km) in the Philippines against ca. 2,000 birds is a 50% Hok Jos Vercammen pigeon. Her mother is a direct daughter to our top breeder “London”(BE16-6032120).
The McArthur Leyte Race is probably the most important race in the Philippines. It is a very tough race where you need strong birds to win.
How did this edition of the McArtur Leyte Race proceed? The flock of birds was released at 6.30 am. The winning bird “Queen Elizabeth”(BBC 08849 / PHA 2617546) managed to come home the same day at 5 pm. She was the only bird that was able to come back home on the day of release! Sensational!
