We had a fantastic result on the Semi-national Chalon-sur-Saône (484km) race.

We entered as well some yearlings. We started with the 90° Semi-national. They won 6 prizes of 6 entered birds! This means that we have all together 14 prizes of 14 entered pigeons (100% prize)!
Especially the Semi-national result is really impressive. We entered just 8 old birds and 3 of them win a top 30 position against 6,746 birds … that is much easier said than done!
Our first arrival was the checkered hen B14-6175335. As a young bird she only flew the races of the Tour of Belgium in September / October. As a yearling she was raced on the young birds loft. This is her first ‘real’ year as a member of our old birds racing team. Her father is a full brother to “Aladdin”(B09-6248081), 1° fast. National Bourges (479km) 64,621 pigeons. Her mother is a granddaughter to “Beckham”(B01-6387174).

Our second bird was the blue hen B14-6175036. Her father is a son to “Barco”(B01-6387350). Her mother is a direct daughter to “Elektro”(B08-6174630). This beautiful hen has got some top records.

Our third arrival was the blue hen B14-6175212. As a youngster she won already 26° National La Souterraine (593km) against 18,588 birds. Her father is a son to “Barco”(B01-6387350). Her mother is a direct daughter to “Elektro”(B08-6174630).

Our second and third arrival are both grandchildren to as well “Elektro”(B08-6174630) and “Barco”(B01-6387350). The same pedigree counts for our first arrival of the week before, the blue hen B15-6026036), who won 1° fast. Souppes (357km) 10,926 pigeons. Also our famous pigeon “Mustang”(B14-6175237) is bred from such a crossing. The list of successful babies born out of the coupling child “Barco” x child “Elektro” is very extensive. We could call this a winning crossing, couldn’t we?
Our fourth arrival was B13-6026079. This granddaughter to “Elektro”(B08-6174630) is a top racing hen. Last year she won the 1° prize on this Chalon-sur-Saône race. It was a very hard race. In fact, it’s the third year in a row (2014 – 2015 – 2016) that she wins an early prize from the Chalon-sur-Saône race! She won on those three Chalon-sur-Saône races the following results:

What about the other two races last weekend? The races Blois and Souppes-sur-Loing both had an abnormal result. The fastest pigeon on Souppes had for instance a velocity of more than 2,000 mpm. The second bird on that result was clocked 20 minutes later. Our results on these two races were not so special. We ‘blame’ it more on the strange races than on our pigeons … and we think we will be probably right.
Next week the first national races of the season, Bourges (479km) and Limoges (675km) will be flown. The weather forecast for coming Saturday is however very pessimistic. That’s why we won’t enter our Limoges team tonight. And also our Bourges team will be smaller than first planned. The racing season is just getting started, that’s why we are careful with our racing team.
